Love Island UK star Jasmine spotted ‘snubbing’ winning islander Julia and it’s sparking backlash

Viewers of Love Island UK have been left fuming after a Love Island UK star was spotted 'snubbing' the winner.

Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Majchrzak were crowned the Love Island UK winners for 2026, bagging themselves a £50,000 prize pot.

Fans at home were quick to criticise runner up Jasmine Muller, who finished in second place along with Kavan Murphy.

Simba Kudyiwa and Angelista Gunda finished in third place.

After the winners were revealed, viewers say that runner-up Jasmine 'snubbed' winning Julia after she went in for a hug to celebrate.

Fans reckon Jasmine ignored Julia and headed straight to Lorenzo to hug him instead, leaving poor Julia hanging in what should have been a jubilant moment for her victory.

One fan lashed out on social media: "Jasmine only hugging Lorenzo, what a strange lady."

Another added: "Not Jasmine dodging Julia’s hug," while someone else wrote: "Not Julia trying to hug Jasmine and getting left hanging like that."

That's not all, one fan spotted: "Even in the credits video you can see jasmine hugging everyone else OTHER than Julia despite the fact her and Lorenzo both won, she’s so shameless."

"Jasmine really stood there like the £50k was already in her bag and then dodged the hug like Julia had the plague. Congrats Julia & Lorenzo, you two ate that finale. Some people just can’t handle not being the main character," mused another.

Jasmine's fans were quick to defend her: "Someone’s hand moved her away thats why she stood away from Julia."

"So I re-watched and that’s not what happened. Maya ran and hugged julia as Jasmine was going to hug her. why u lying," insisted another.

Someone else said Jasmine was moved out of the way: "Sorry what she was pushed gently on her back by Maya! you can see that in the second pic! In the third pic Maya has her hand on her arm. You can see that Julia was behind Jasmine. Does Jasmine have eyes in the back of her head?"

"She’s just being 'real' what’s the problem??" demanded one fan.

After being crowned, Julia told Maya Jama: "I would just love to say thank you to everyone. I didn't think that coming into Casa, I would be stood here. It's crazy."

Asked what her plans were following the win, she declared: "I want him to move in with me."

Their win came after a shock start to the episode.

Fans had been left on a cliffhanger as they waited to find out which couple was being sent home.

Mica Harris and Samraj Toor had voted to send Yasmin Hadlow and Tommy Stagg home, meaning the couple fell at the last hurdle and there was three couples in the final instead of the usual four.
