It looks like Molly-Mae Hague was right when she said people are struggling to pronounce her baby’s name, as even family members are hilariously getting it wrong.
The Cheshire-based influencer, 27, announced that she welcomed her second child with her boxer fiancé Tommy Fury, also 27, on 3 June; however, she kept the gender and name hush-hush.
Molly later revealed that she’d welcomed a baby boy, before finally unveiling his name in dramatic fashion at Tommy’s boxing match against Eddie Hall in Manchester on Saturday (13 June).
Tommy, who also shares a three-year-old daughter called Bambi with Molly, debuted the tot’s name on his shorts, with ‘Midas’ written in large gold lettering.

The unique moniker has links to Greek mythology - specifically the legend of King Midas, who turned everything to gold simply by touching it.
But, before she shared the name with the world, Molly hinted in one of her YouTube vlogs: “When I’ve mentioned the name to a few people, or I’ve spelled it out, a few of my friends have said it completely wrong - absolutely not how you pronounce it.”

And Venezuela Fury’s new husband, Noah Price, 19, came into exactly this issue when talking about the new family addition on TikTok.
As reported by Metro, during a livestream, a fan asked the son-in-law of Tyson Fury, “Have you met Midas yet?” to which he confirmed he hasn’t.
However, he pronounced Midas as ‘Me-das,’ when the correct way to say it is ‘My-das’. Got it?
Confused, Venezuela repeated: “Midas?” before Noah repeated: “Midas Tommy’s girl. Tommy’s boy – is it a boy?”
Joking about the blunder on social media, one fan wrote: “To be fair I never heard the name either and said pretty much the same thing, me-das.”
While a second and third added: “They should of spelt it Mydas” and “I said it like that first as well.”

As mentioned, the name is heavily associated with people who have a knack for generating wealth, which led to the saying, the ‘Midas touch’.
The Greek mythology tale also serves as a cautionary emblem about the consequences of greed though, as King Midas’ wish becomes a curse and leads to him not being able to eat due to everything he touches immediately turning into gold.
Previously speaking about the name, Molly said: “It’s definitely not as different as Bambi, I would say. But I’ve only ever heard one other child be called it, and it’s not someone in the public eye.
“It’s just someone I’m connected to through a friend. I just think it sounds so good with the surname Fury."
