Molly-Mae Hague proved she’s a total superwoman yesterday as she rocked up to Venezuela’s wedding, not only braving the big day while heavily pregnant, but also wrangling daughter Bambi solo... Oh, and she did the whole thing in heels, too.
Venezuela, 16, tied the knot with Noah Price, 19, on the Isle of Man yesterday (Saturday 17 May), surrounded by family and friends.
Sadly, Tommy Fury – the half-brother of Venezuela’s dad Tyson – was nowhere to be seen, as he had to stay at home in Manchester for training.
This meant Molly-Mae had to look after three-year-old Bambi alone, helping as her daughter took on bridesmaid duties for the day.
While most of us would want to crumble at the thought, she managed to do it all with a smile – and looking absolutely great in the process, wearing a chic sheer black top with floral detailing, black trousers and matching black heels, her hair scraped into a neat bun.
Not everyone was quite so positive about her look, however.
Commenting on Facebook, one user wrote: “Black at a wedding?”
Another echoed: “Black is a no no at a wedding sorry.”
But many others leapt to Molly-Mae's defence, claiming that while it was once deemed ‘disrespectful’ to wear black, it’s not so much the case for modern weddings.
“I think Molly looks fabulous,” one wrote, adding: “Once upon a time it was thought disrespectful to wear black to a wedding (and just plain bad luck). Whilst traditionally associated with mourning, the taboo is outdated.”
Others also pointed out that she is heavily pregnant, and likely needed to feel comfortable.
“She’s heavily pregnant and dealing with a toddler she can wear what she wants,” one said.
Another agreed: “Some of these comments are awful and just not needed. She's 8 months pregnant I thought she look lovly and glowing. People need to remember to be kind.”
Someone else commented: “Pregnant and I’m sure didn’t want to outshine the main wedding guests. Fair play for staying in the background.”
Venezuela's mum Paris Fury was also in awe of Molly-Mae's involvement for the wedding, admitting she would have struggled to make an appearance so late into a pregnancy - while also wrangling a toddler solo.
Bambi was one of Venezuela's bridesmaids (Instagram/@mollymae) She told The Sun: “She is incredible. She is being fully supportive, and she is bringing Bambi over, so that Bambi could be a bridesmaid with the kids.
“But I have got to throw her props. She is making that journey while heavily pregnant and I wouldn’t have been able to face that while I was at her term of pregnancy."
Paris added: “It’s very good."
According to The Sun, Molly-Mae was joined by sister Zoe Hague in the Isle of Man, having been seen stepping onto the airport runway together.
Paris continued: “I’m very glad that they are coming. It means a lot. It’s a big journey for anyone to come from home to here.
“It’s lovely that they are making the effort. It’s lovely that Bambi and the other little girls all get to be bridesmaids. They are all cousins and it’s sweet that they‘ll make memories together.”
