Fans are convinced that Kylie Jenner's ex, Travis Scott, just threw shade towards her new partner, Timothée Chalamet, after his Oscars loss.

American-French actor Chalamet, 30, was the frontrunner to win Best Actor during Sunday's awards ceremony for quite some time after his leading performance in Marty Supreme.

However, as the all-important date approached, the race became tighter as Michael B. Jordan was also tipped to win for his roles as twins Stack and Smoke in the vampire-musical Sinners.

Ultimately, Jordan took home the big win - something fans have blamed on the 'Kardashian curse' - and surprisingly, Marty Supreme didn't take home any trophies, despite the movie being nominated for nine awards.

Chalamet was all smiles, though on the evening, as he watched the ceremony with girlfriend Jenner by his side, whom he began dating back in 2023.

Before their romance, the reality TV star was in an on-and-off relationship with rapper Travis Scott between 2017 and 2022.

During that time, the celebrity pair welcomed two children together, daughter Stormi, eight, and son Aire, four.

And now, Scott has hit headlines for his Instagram post, which showed he was clearly rooting for Sinners at the Oscars.

Following Jordan's win, the musician shared a photo of the actor tearing up while holding his Oscar on his Instagram Story - and it's prompted mixed reactions.

While some people think it could have been a 'snub' towards Chalamet, others have pointed out that it's likely not that deep, and he's probably just celebrating his friend winning.

One social media user penned: "Lollllllllll petty but lol."

A second added: "Y'all messy."

While a third wrote: "As he should, why would he celebrate her ex, no thanks."

However, one person argued: "This is silly. Travis and Kylie seem to have a great coparenting relationship. I’m sure he was just cheering on his friend, and it wasn’t anything against Kylie or Timmy."

And someone else agreed: "I think the entire world is celebrating Jordan's win."

While another social media user pointed out: "What's the correlation? Travis has been showing love to MBJ for years."

Scott reportedly deleted the post. Nonetheless, the two are said to be friends after all, so it's not that crazy for him to just be celebrating his pal's huge career win.

Elsewhere in the evening, Chalament - who did not fall down the red carpet stairs - was the butt of several jokes by host Conan O'Brien.

Poking fun at the actors recent comments about ballet and opera, the host quipped: "Security is extremely tight tonight. I'm told there's concern about attacks from both the opera and ballet community. You're just mad you left out jazz!"

Retired ballet dancer Misty Copeland also to the stage during a performance of 'I Lied to You', the Oscar-nominated song from Sinners, making for a rather awkward moment for Chalamet.

Tyla has contacted representatives for Travis Scott for comment.
