Winning an Oscar is a big deal for any actor, so Timothée Chalamet's 'true' reaction to missing out comes as no surprise.
A body language expert looked at how the Marty Supreme star responded when it was revealed that Michael B Jordan won the Best Actor award for his role in Sinners.
It follows Chalamet's previous wins for the role as the Golden Globes and the Critic's Choice Awards, so he was the hot favourite to take home the much-lauded Oscars statuette too.
The 30-year-old caused controversy in recent days for his comments about opera and the arts, and his words became the butt of several jokes over the night.

A hoax photo also went viral, after a satire social media account claimed the star had fallen down the stairs on the red carpet.

Who can blame him then, if he's not actually had the best night after all that, if the body language expert is correct.
Dr Beth Dawson told Metro that some fleeting moments allegedly revealed 'genuine disappointment' from Chalamet, noting what she perceived as a 'micro-reaction'.
The cameras are always trained on all of the nominees while they wait to hear who has won, with their immediate reactions also beamed around the world.
Also nominated for the award was Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, and Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent.
Chalamet was shown on camera smiling and clapping for Jordan following his win, but Dawson claims 'he’s not naïve' as an actor, and when Jordan's name was announced Chalamet 'blinks once and looks down – that is a flash of genuine disappointment.'
She said his applause and reaction was 'subdued and restrained'.

As well as the 'micro-reaction' at the mention of Jordan's name, Dawson added that was followed by a ‘quiver of the bottom lip’ which shows 'disappointment and sadness', but ever the professional he keeps it contained.
Earlier in the show Conan O'Brien joked: "Security is extremely tight tonight. Just got to mention that, yeah, I’m told there’s concerns about attacks from both the opera and ballet communities," following the remarks Chalamet had made recently.
The camera showed the actor smiling and laughing after the remark, as O'Brien quipped: "They’re just mad you left out jazz."
Following the criticism he received, Dawson alleged he was also behaving differently on the red carpet beforehand: "When public attention shifts like this, people often change how they present themselves physically. Body language becomes part of the narrative."
The expert claimed his decision to wear sunglasses for the photos was as a 'shield' and could have played an 'important psychological role’ as well as looking cool.
"Eyes are the most revealing part of the face and when someone covers them, it creates distance," she added, saying they also help to 'maintain composure when cameras are constantly searching for reactions.’
Tyla reached out to Chalamet's representatives for comment.
