Over the weekend, Zendaya rocked up to the Paris red carpet premiere of her latest project, The Drama, all on her own.

Sure, she posed for the paparazzi with her dark-comedy drama co-lead Robert Pattinson. But where was her real-life beau, Tom Holland?

Later that evening, a video went viral showing that the Spiderman actor actually did show up to support his rumoured wife - just not in the way that fans might have expected.

In the footage, 29-year-old Holland can be seen looking down on Zendaya from the balcony of a nearby hotel in what some have hailed as a super romantic moment between the couple.

Others, meanwhile, were left questioning what it is about red carpet events that the huge-name pair seemingly find so daunting.

In fact, we've only seen them side-by-side at A-list soirees a handful of times.

It turns out that former child star Holland previously discussed his controversial absences from Zendaya's red carpet premieres, admitting the decision is entirely conscious.

"Because it's not my moment," the Brit told Men's Health last year. "It's her moment, and if we go together, it's about us."

Unsurprisingly, Holland's gushy revelation set the internet ablaze at the time, with fans hailing him as a top-tier boyfriend.

One X user wrote: "Boyfriend of the century!"

Another added of the actor: "Oh Tom, the hot, respectful and thoughtful boyfriend that you are."

"Greenest green flag I've heard in a while," a third joked.

Holland's declaration of love even caught the attention of fellow film star Timothée Chalamet, who subsequently branded him the 'ultimate rizz master', referring to his impressive game with the ladies.

"The internet knows this. Zendaya knows this. Everyone knows this," Chalamet joked during an appearance on LADbible TV.

Holland's balcony appearance comes just days after Zendaya was forced to address the viral AI-generated images of their alleged wedding, which began doing the rounds earlier this month after her stylist Law Roach claimed their nuptials had 'already happened'.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actress was asked to respond to the global headlines regarding she and Holland's supposed marriage, which she jokingly claimed she 'hadn't seen'.

Zendaya added: "While I was just out and about in real life, people were like, 'Oh, my god, your wedding photos are gorgeous', and I was like, 'Babe, they're AI, they're not real'."

She went on to claim that 'many people' close to her had also been fooled by the images.
