Tom Holland reacts to Zendaya's return to the red carpet

The actor certainly turned a few heads with not one, but two outfits for the special event

Over the weekend Zendaya made her return to the spotlight as she attended the 54th NAACP Image Awards on Saturday (25 February).

The actor certainly turned a few heads with not one, but two outfits for the special event.

The 2023 NAACP Image Awards was the first event Zendaya attended in 2023 after she was absent from the Golden Globes, where she actually picked up a gong.

To mark her return, the Emmy winner wore a black and green strapless Versace dress from the fashion house's Spring 2002 collection.

And before taking to the stage to present at the ceremony, the star slipped into a two-piece Prada ensemble, which dazzled fans equally.

Many have reacted to Zendaya's return to the red carpet, including Tom Holland.

But it's the Versace dress that got people talking on social media, with Zendaya posting a photo of her wearing it on her Instagram.

And one of those who reacted to her post is Tom Holland, who sweetly posted three heart emojis.

Fans have replied under Holland's comment, with many praising the adorable couple.

"You two are my favourite people ever," one fan said. Meanwhile, a second added: "You’re so damn lucky man."

And a third remarked: "She’s stunning though so I get where you’re coming from."

Fans were loving his comment.

Holland and Zendaya confirmed they were dating in 2021 after many years of rumours.

And in recent days, rumours had been swirling that the couple are actually engaged, following a post from the Twitter account called Pop Hive.

Alongside that, a US Weekly article said that the pair was 'serious and permanent' after a year of dating.

This led to many jubilant fans taking to social media to discuss their rumoured engagement, but Claire Stoermer, Zendaya’s mum, set the record straight.

Claire took to Instagram to share a cryptic message which talked about clickbait.

The quote read: "Clickbait typically refers to the practice of writing sensationalized or misleading headlines in order to attract clicks on a piece of content.

"It often relies on exaggerating claims or leaving out key information in order to encourage traffic.

"The term is generally used in a dismissive sense."

Fans quickly came to the realisation that the message was likely referring to the recent engagement rumours.

But that hasn't stopped many hoping that the couple may announce their engagement and tie the knot soon.
