Timothée Chalamet breaks silence on rumours he's Scouse rapper

It's happened, guys.

Timothée Chalamet has at long last broken his mysterious silence on the viral rumours he's actually secretly been posing as a UK rapper.

For anyone not in the loop, that may sound like the nichest sentence ever, but the social media speculation has been running rampant for weeks now.

In short, it sees fans of the 29-year-old Marty Supreme star hellbent that he's actually Scouse rapper EsDeeKid, who is said to look a lot like - you've guessed it - Chalamet.

Now, it all kicked off due to the fact that EsDeeKid only reveals his eyes to his audience, sparking a conspiracy theory online about the rapper’s true identity.

TikTok user KJ Freeman posted what she called the 'mystery of the century', asking whether EsDeeKid was Chalamet in disguise, with her post quickly taking the internet by storm and gaining over 1.6 million views.

Explaining her theory, Freeman likened EsDeeKid and Chalamet’s hazel-coloured eyes and full brows - a parallel which is hard to ignore.

Such speculation fueled a whole bunch of fellow internet sleuths to take to other social media platforms and spam feeds with side-by-side comparisons of the two men.

Others noted that the pair also owned the same luxury brand scarf as well as the fact that the rapper is always performing when Chalamet seem to be doing UK screenings and promos.

Oh yeah, and long-time fans also couldn't help but bring up Chalamet being a 'rapper' back in school, with his moniker at the time being none other than 'Little Timmy'.

And now, after all this time, Chalamet has addressed the bizarre lore himself, saying during a Heart Breakfast interview earlier today (11 December) that 'all will be revealed in due time'.

Host Jamie Theakston began: "Listen I need to sort one thing out with you now I feel we are friends. EsDeeKid you know who EsDeeKid is the rapper?

"Oh yes, your fans have lost their minds and they are saying you are EsDeeKid," chimed in co-host Amanda Holden.

"Is that true?" Theakston questioned.

Remaining as cool as a cucumber, the Hollywood A-lister cryptically responded: "I got no comment on that..."

"Oh, come on!" Theakston urged as Chalamet doubled down: "I got no comment."

Holden then pointed out: "You’ve got the same eyes."

"All will be revealed in due time..." Chalamet replied, continuing his aloof stance.
