We've seen a whole lot of Michelle Keegan as of recent in Harlan Coben's long-anticipated thriller series, Fool Me Once, that first landed on Netflix on New Year's Day.

Since then, fans have been obsessed with the talented actors, the 'outstanding' storyline and the incredible costume department.

Michelle has since been doing a whole load of interviews following the release of the show and, in one, she shared the heartbreaking reason why her mum won’t be seen pictured with her.

The eight-part thriller gives fans an incredible adaptation of the popular novel Fool Me Once, written and published by Coben in 2016.

The official Netflix premise of the series, which is the streaming platform's eighth Coben adaptation, reads: "Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once follows Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) who is trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Richard Armitage).

"But when Maya installs a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she is shocked to see a man she recognises in her house. Her husband, who she thought was dead...

"Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce (Akhtar) leads the homicide investigation into Joe's death while grappling with secrets of his own. Meanwhile, Maya's niece and nephew, Abby and Daniel, are trying to find the truth about their mother's murder, several months earlier.

"Are the two cases connected? Fool Me Once follows these characters on a thrilling hunt for the truth that will reveal shocking secrets and change their lives forever."

While promoting the series on presenter Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast, the 36-year-old explained why she's rarely spotted in snaps with her mum, Jacqueline.

In the interview, titled Michelle Keegan: Imposter Syndrome, boundaries, and puzzles, Michelle discussed her struggles with Imposter Syndrome that have surrounded her career as well as how some peoples' comments have impacted her personal life.

Elsewhere in the interview, Michelle opened up about how negative comments have affected Jaqueline, along with the rest of her family.

She explained: "When it affects my family, that's when it's hurtful. I remember once I stepped out of a restaurant with my mum and we got pictured and I remember my mum reading the article and she read the comments."

The Coronation Street star continued: "That really affected my mum, really bad.

"Now, she won't walk out of restaurants with me, because of that reason."

Fool Me Once is currently available to stream on Netflix.
