Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski speak out on secret split following nine years of marriage
After almost a decade of marriage, Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have officially parted ways.
According to their official break-up statement, however, the chapter ended some time ago.
Seyfried, 40, and 50-year-old Sadoski first crossed paths in 2015 while starring opposite each other in the Off-Broadway play The Way We Get By, later reuniting on the set of the comedy-drama The Last Word.
A year after their relationship turned romantic, the pair got engaged.

In March 2017, they secretly eloped in the countryside, inviting just Seyfried's beloved dog, Finn, as a guest.
"We eloped," The Newsroom star Sadoski told the press weeks later. "We just took off into the country with an officiant and just the two of us, and we did our thing. It was beautiful.
"It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.”
The couple's daughter Nina arrived shortly afterwards, followed by their son Thomas Jr. in 2020.
The family largely based themselves on the Mamma Mia actress' farm in New York's Catskill Mountains, which she bought in 2013, while maintaining ties to both Los Angeles and Manhattan through work.
Sharing a statement with PEOPLE on Tuesday (15 Sept), however, the pair confirmed they'd lived separate lives for a while.
"We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit," the duo claimed in a joint statement.
They added: "We’ve got each other forever - and it’s GOOD."
No major public announcement suggested trouble between Seyfried and Sadoski before their split.
In fact, earlier this year, things appeared positive.
Speaking to Vogue back in January, Seyfried praised Sadoski for supporting her increasingly busy career, saying he 'sacrifices a lot for me' while she navigates a packed run of acting projects, including The Testament of Ann Lee, The Housemaid and the series Long Bright River.
But more recently, eagle-eyed fans noticed Seyfried attending the Toronto International Film Festival without her wedding ring, one of the first public clues that something may have changed.
Then, just before the split was confirmed, Seyfried posted a photo of Sadoski with their pet bearded dragon, referring to him as '#reptiledad'.
She also shared a cryptic quote about figuring out 'the next thing'.
The latest announcement comes as Seyfried prepares for the release of her latest on-screen project, The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd, a prison drama-thriller landing next month.
