Kim Kardashian defended amid major backlash after revealing she has no ‘concept’ of how much milk costs

Kim Kardashian fans have rushed to her defence after the star came under fire for her latest comments about milk prices - yes, really.

The 44-year-old SKIMS boss sparked a debate online after she admitted she 'doesn't have a concept' of what simple things like milk cost during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast yesterday (15 October).

Kim sat down with host Alex Cooper for a lengthy one hour and 45 minutes, where she delved into everything from her 'toxic' marriage to Kanye West to SKIMS' next business moves and her lawyer aspirations.

Speaking about why she divorced Kanye in 2022, the reality TV star candidly said: "It makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic. When you have kids, it's definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone's life forever."

On top of the relationship bombshells, there was another moment during the podcast that left listeners astounded - and as we say, it was all to do with milk.

Alex quizzed The Kardashians star on how much money she spends on her glam routine.

Kim explained: "If I’m filming my show, then they pay for it. If I’m working, then they pay for it. So, I try to get it all paid for so that I don’t personally have to pay for it."

She then went on to admit that it's hard to tally up the cost, because in reality, she's not all that clued up on the price of things.

Kim said: "I mean, I don't have a concept of what like certain simple things cost, which really, um is, you know, I'd like to know a little bit more about what like a milk carton cost."

The comment has prompted a wave of backlash, with people on social media calling the fashion mogul out for being 'out of touch'.

One X (formerly Twitter) user jokingly penned: "Kim discovering groceries like it’s National Geographic," while a second added: "People are living paycheck to paycheck, struggling with inflation, absurd grocery prices and here comes Kim saying this."

And a third wrote: "Do you know how rich you gotta be to even be able to say a sentence like this."

A fourth chimed in with: "These are the people you idolize. They are so out of touch they can't understand the daily of an average American family."

However, as we say, others have rushed to defend Kim, with one person arguing: "People are hating on this like it’s not everyone’s goal to be able to buy what you need, when you need it, and not have to think about what it costs."

Another admitted: "I go to the grocery store twice a week. Buy a gallon of milk every week. I don’t know how much a gallon is. I have to have it so I buy it. Don’t even look at the price."

A third agreed, saying: "I mean I don’t know the cost either," while a fourth commented: "Right you just grab it. Not everyone’s testimony - but a lot of people who aren't struggling. But, anything to hate her I guess lol."
