Kim Kardashian has opened up on the breaking point in her marriage to Kanye West that led her to file for divorce.
For those who need a reminder, the SKIMS founder, 44, was in a nine-year-long relationship with the disgraced rapper, 48, which came to an end when their divorce was finalised in November 2022. Kim and Kanye tied the knot in 2014 and went on to welcome four children together; North, 12, Saint, nine, Chicago seven, and Psalm, five.
Based on what The Kardashians star has said over the years, the split was largely down to the ramifications of Kanye's mental health struggles, including public outbursts and reportedly refusing to medicate for bipolar disorder.
Speaking to Alex Cooper in today's (Wednesday 15 October) episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kim has gone into the details of what exactly led their relationship to deteriorate.

She explained: "People can say that there was, like, signs and maybe I didn't wasn't paying attention to them.

"And I think when someone has, like, their first, like, mental break, you know, you wanna be super supportive and you wanna, like, help figure that out and you wanna really get into that with them and and be there for them."
However, the reality TV star said Kanye 'wasn't willing to make changes' that Kim thought would be 'super healthy and beneficial'.

She told Alex: "It makes it really hard to continue on in a relationship that can be toxic. When you have kids, it's definitely harder to leave than it is to stay. And it changes everyone's life forever."
And when asked about what the breaking point was that let her know she had to walk away, she listed 'a lot of things she couldn't deal with' including how the rapper treated her family, as well as feeling 'unsafe'.
Kim explained: "I didn’t like the feeling of someone talking bad about my kids, grandmother, aunts - all of those feelings.
“If someone feels that way, then we shouldn’t be together. Airing out a lot of personal stuff."

She continued: "Just not feeling safe, you know, not even physically, just like maybe emotionally or even, you know, financially. I would like come home, and we had like five Lamborghinis and I'd come home and they'd all be gone if he was in an episode.

"And I'd be like, 'Oh, wait. Where's all our cars? Like, my new car?' And it would be like, 'oh,' he gave them away to all of his friends."
The businesswoman admitted: "I didn't know what you're gonna get when you wake up, and that's like a really unsettling feeling. It's a lack of stability."

As we say, one of the reasons Kim touched on during the podcast appearance was how Kanye treated her family.
For those who need a reminder, the musician has publicly hit out at Kim's loved ones on multiple occasions, for example tweeting that Kim's mother Kris Jenner was 'not allowed around his children' in 2022.
'"It was really hard to like see my family get treated one way and then me being like, 'I'm sorry, guys', and like then stick with it." she said on the podcast.
Adding: "People couldn't not see it. I think I got really disassociated and there was so many times where I was just really quiet and just trying to figure it all out."
