A batch of social media users have contrived a conspiracy theory surrounding Kim Kardashian this week, after the reality TV star was dealt a major blow to her mental health.
In the latest episode of her famous family's hit series The Kardashians, the 45-year-old undergoes a brain scan following an aneurysm earlier this year, where she is told by Dr Daniel Amen she suffered 'low activity' in one region of her brain.
The medic - best known for his brain imaging technology - told Kim: "The front part of your brain is less active than it should be.
"With your frontal lobes, as they work now, it would be harder to manage stress and that's not good for you, especially as you're studying and you're getting ready to take the boards."

Despite being told she wasn't at risk of Alzheimer's, the mother-of-four responded to the news: "That just can't be. It just can't - not accepting. I got to get on a plan to really figure this out because I have some s**t to do this summer."

As we say, however, the SKIMS boss' latest news has peaked the curiosity of a number of viewers, some of whom believe there's a reason why Kim is opening up on her health to such an extreme degree, compared to past on-screen conversations.
One is convinced the news is actually part of a 'storyline', linked to a business endeavour, surrounding her ongoing bid to pass the legal bar - something she confirmed last month she'd failed to achieve.

"Ok hear me out," they theorised. "Showing this, combined with failing the bar, is all part of a plan.
"The Kardashians are masters at this. My money is on her using this to set the stage for getting a NeuroLink, telling everyone how much better she is, and then immediately passing the bar to 'prove' it works."

Another X user agreed: "I like the way you think!"

"Bingo. Marketing," added a third. "She would never show that level of weakness or vulnerability unless it was for a check. Bottom line."
A fourth user also voiced their own perspective, suggesting: "Kim Kardashian is about to attempt to sell us at the most sinister end of the spectrum brain chips/neuralink at the least sinister some sort of ashwaganda gummy.
All this 'i’m so stupid my brain don’t work good me can’t pass no bar' is a rollout i can’t be fooled."
Despite this, however, during the television discussion, Amen suggests that stress caused by a hectic schedule and hordes of responsibility could have played a part in her ailing health.

The doctor explains: "It could be the chronic stress that you've been under, trying to think about taking the boards in a couple months and studying 10 hours a day, not to mention all the other things that go on in your life.

"But we have to make it better."
Other members of Kim's family seemed to suggest the impact of her divorce from her ex-husband, Kanye West, specifically has a part to play.

Scott Disick, her ex-brother-in-law who was previously in a relationship with Kourtney Kardashian, notes during the episode: "By the way, I’m sorry about all that you’re going through. It looks stressful."
Not mentioning the rapper by name, he adds: "I mean, I see some of the stuff, and it’s like, f**k."
Kim then confirms, 'It is hard', before adding in a 1-1 confessional that her former flame is 'very loud out there right now', admitting: "I just can’t really engage. I think it’s just for the better."
