Jack Osbourne has sparked a discussion online after revealing the name of his newborn baby girl.
On Wednesday (11 March), the 40-year-old media personality, who is one of the late Ozzy Osbourne's six children, announced the birth of his daughter.
The newborn is Jack and his wife Aree Gearhart's second child together, but Jack also has three other children with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly: Pearl Clementine Osbourne, 13, Andy Rose Osbourne, 10, and Minnie Theodora Osbourne, seven.
Jack and Aree, 34, took to Instagram to share the news in a joint post with a sweet black and white video of the little tot, which saw her sleeping next to a note card which stated she was born on 5th March at 8:49 am, weighing in at seven pounds and twelve ounces.

A black Jellycat bat plushie was also in the frame, a reference to her Black Sabbath star grandfather Ozzy, who passed away aged 76 back in July of last year, with his cause of death announced as cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, and Parkinson’s disease.

The note card also featured her name, reading: "Ozzy Matilda Osbourne."
The couple added in the caption: "Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne."
Jack added on his Instagram Story: "She's arrived and she's perfect," as friends and fans alike ran to the comments to send their congratulations and gush over the moniker.
Meanwhile, mum-of-two Aree wrote: "Our Ozzy Matilda Osbourne has landed earthside", as well as a second Story where she's cradling the newborn as they wear matching pyjamas.
After catching light of the name choice, many fans rushed to social media to share their thoughts, and it's clear there was quite a divide online.
Taking to Reddit, one critic penned: "Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think they should've used Ozzy as a middle name. It's one thing to be named after a relative, it's another when you share a first and surname with an incredibly famous relative."

"I kind of have mixed feelings about naming a child after a loved one. On one hand, it’s a nice tribute, on the other hand, it’s kind of a burden for someone to live up to the person they were named after," voiced a second as a third piped up: "It should’ve been a middle name."
Others, however, rushed to Jack's defence with a fourth outlining: "Naming after a deceased loved one is an important cultural practice in some communities. It is a way of honouring the deceased but also expressing hope that the person who receives the name will also receive the good qualities of that namesake."
A fifth declared: "Everyone in here judging what Jack decided to name HIS baby needs to touch some grass. The name is meaningful to him. The wife was okay with it. The chances of you coming across Ozzy Matilda are slim to none, so I can guarantee you will never have to call her by her name.

"There are far worse things going on in the world. A child is a blessing. Be happy for them. Move on."
"Why are the comments so weird??? People have been naming their kids after their parents since hundreds of years," pointed out a sixth.
Another chimed in: "Whoa, I thought this was cute, and the comments here are weird. She’ll probably go by her middle name if it becomes an issue. I think everyone will be just fine."
And a final Redditor echoed: "It’s so frustrating! Who cares what they named her? The name is meaningful to the parents, and that’s all that matters. They will be the ones raising her. Guiding her. Everyone is so quick to judge!"
