Jack Osbourne has issued a heartbreaking update on the well-being of his mum, Sharon, just months after her husband Ozzy's death.

The Black Sabbath star passed away aged 76 earlier this summer (22 July), with his cause of death announced as cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease.

The following week (30 July), Ozzy's fans came out in their thousands to line the city centre streets of Birmingham to say their final farewells to the heavy metal rock legend, along with Sharon and her kids Aimee Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, and Jack Osbourne, as well as Ozzy's son Louis Osbourne from his previous marriage to Thelma Riley.

Jack has since come forward in a brand-new interview to share how the family unit is faring following the monumental loss.

During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, the 39-year-old reality TV star was asked how his mum, who was wed to Ozzy for over 40 years, is coping.

"You know, when people have been asking me that question, I say, 'She's OK, but she's not OK'," Jack admitted.

When asked if she can 'feel the affection and appreciation' from fans, Jack replied: "Oh my god, yeah. I know she feels the love."

He added: "None of us expected it to be like this, with that outpour of love."

Jack later resolved: "Every child sits there and kind of has this thought about one day that parents won't be there, and what will that be like. It's just a part of being human. We just didn't think of it.

"It was a different weight to it, you know?"

Just last month (11 September), Sharon was seen for the first time since the funeral, appearing in an Instagram video shared by Kelly.

"Today I introduced my mum to falconry and she loved it!" 40-year-old Kelly captioned the post, which showed an owl flying onto Sharon’s arm.

"Thank you [Gerard Sulter] for putting a smile on my mum’s face too!"

Fans rushed to the comments sharing their happiness at seeing Sharon smiling again, with one Instagram user writing: "There she is!!!! We've all missed seeing Sharon. Thank you Kelly."

"So happy to see this! All the positive and healing vibes to you and your family," penned a second, while a third chimed in: "Oh Mrs O!!!! Missed your face! Sending love to you all!"

And a final fan offered: "Absolutely love this! So glad you both have somewhat of a distraction!"
