The Grammys, once again, gave music lovers across the globe a whole bunch of viral moments to go crazy over online.
It's clear hype around the annual awards evening, which took place on Sunday (1 February), isn't dying down anytime soon, with many social media users still in a right frenzy over Chappell Roan's iconic red carpet outfit.
The 27-year-old 'Pink Pony Club' singer missed out on Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for 'The Subway,' with the awards respectively going to Lamar and Lola Young instead. She did make headlines, however, donning a stunning dress that was literally hooked to her nipple rings.
How does that work, you may ask? Well, the cowl neck of the burgundy Mugler dress, which was based on a similar-looking dress in the brand's 1998 spring collection, was effortlessly draped over her prosthetic nipple piercings. The gown, which included a matching cape, then covered the rest of her body in translucent fabric.

Andrew Dahling, the makeup artist who helped create Roan's head-turning look, told Marie Claire that the look started as a 'very archival, full, bare moment', before everything 'became very medieval'.
"There was so much going on - the tattoos, the prosthetic nipples, all of it, but overall we wanted everything to feel cohesive and really honour the dress and the medieval world we were living in. The glam came from that." he said.
Now, unsurprisingly, the Grammys get-up has caused quite a stir online, with some fans absolutely loving the ensemble while others were outraged, but Roan herself has now directly addressed the buzz.
Taking to Instagram late last night (2 February), the 'Casual' hit-maker shared a series of red carpet snaps along with the caption: "Giggling because I don’t even think this is THAT outrageous of an outfit. The look’s actually so awesome and weird. I recommend just exercising your free will it’s really fun and silly :D."
She concluded the post: "Thank you for having me @grammys and those who voted for me!!"
Fans took no time rushing to the comments to share their praise for Roan's response, with one writing: "Some people have never seen b00bs in their life, and it shows. You looked absolutely INCREDIBLE!"
A second beamed: "It’s giving icon, I can’t hear anything else anyone is saying."
Another chimed in: "Don’t listen to the haters and free the nip babe!"
"THANK GOD!!! SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T TAKE EVERYTHING SO SERIOUSLY!" gushed a final Instagram user.
