Amanda Bynes has said having bleph surgery was ‘one of the greatest things she ever did’, having decided to address speculation about her appearance in a new video.

Watch what she had to say below:

The former actor recently launched a podcast alongside biochemist Paul Sieminski - her first major project since her conservatorship ended last year.

Bynes, 37, was first placed under a temporary conservatorship back in August 2013, following a string of mental health issues, substance abuse and legal problems.

It wasn’t until March 2022 that it came to an end, with Judge Roger L Lund saying it was no longer required.

At the time, Bynes thanked her fanbase for their ‘love and well wishes’, adding: "I would also like to thank my lawyer and my parents for their support over the last nine years.

"In the last several years, I have been working hard to improve my health so that I can live and work independently, and I will continue to prioritize my well-being in this next chapter."

Now the star has set up a new podcast venture, having shared details of it last month, telling fans: “At first we are going to interview our friends and then we’re hoping to take it mainstream and interview celebrities and artists.”

Shortly after the first episode of the Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast went out, Bynes took to TikTok to address a ‘couple of stories online that say [she has] a new look’.

She admitted she’d previously had surgery known as blepharoplasty, which is a cosmetic procedure to remove excess skin or fat from the eyelids.

Bynes said she had no regrets about the change, saying it was ‘one of the greatest’ things she’s ever done.

“I was never open about this before, but I actually had blepharoplasty surgery on the skinfolds and the corner of my eyes," she said.

"So, I don’t have those skinfolds anymore."

She said it was 'one of the greatest' things she'd ever done.

Bynes went on to say that it had really helped her self confidence, continuing: "It made me feel a lot better in my skin, so I just wanted to post about that just to clear up that rumor as to why I have a new look.

“I feel a lot better now about myself, and I’m so glad I had the blepharoplasty surgery. It was one of the greatest things I could’ve ever done.”
