Two Of The ‘Love Is Blind’ Contestants Knew Each Other Before The Show

Wait… what?!

Both Jessica Batten and Kelly Chase were huge characters on Netflix's Love Is Blind, and we saw them supporting each other through their new relationships and all the bumps they encountered along the way.

But one thing the show failed to address is the fact that the pair have actually been friends for 10 years. Yup, a whole decade... Honestly, we're baffled too.

Eagle eyed fans first made the discovery after spotting the pair in multiple Instagram snaps together back in the days.

And then Jessica confirmed the speculation in an Instagram Q&A. When asked: "Did you know Kelly before the show?," she replied with a picture of them both, saying: "I've known Kel for 10 years".

When she was quizzed, Kelly also backed up the goss' telling a fan: "Jessica and I actually met 10 or 11 years ago from an ex boyfriend's same social circle."

Why would they keep this a secret?! We mean, the girls literally lived in the same house, went on holiday together and had their own prospective weddings which they didn't invite each other to...

Naturally, the news has sent Love Is Blind fans wild on social media.

"Wow, so y'all say me tweeting about #LoveIsBlind and weren't going to give me the tea!???!," one person - who clearly wasn't a fan of either women - wrote. "Kelly and Jessica were friends for years before the show???? No one wonder why they both suck lmaooooooo".

Kelly also explained the pair's connection (

While another added: "No way. I need a backstory".

However, another thought it made perfect sense: "Tbh I think it's probably quite a normal explanation," they said.

"Like maybe one of them applied and told their single friends and they decided to do it too not thinking they would get picked and then they both ended up in the final selection + also getting engaged on the show.".

Thinking about it, the fact the pair knew each other makes perfect sense, seeing as all 30 contestants were living in Atlanta at the time of filming, to ensure that they had a good chance of making it in the outside world, without distance getting in the way.

Still, we can't lie... when we found out we were shook.
