Lydia Bright Shares First Photograph After Welcoming 'Absolutely Perfect' Baby Girl

Congratulations to Lydia Bright who has welcomed her first child!

The former TOWIE star gave birth to a baby girl on Friday and has now shared the first image of her daughter on Instagram.

Sharing a photograph of her daughter's teeny hand, Lydia, 30, wrote: "My darling girl has arrived. I am so overwhelmed with love, she is absolutely perfect."

In the beautiful snap, the newborn can be seen clutching Lydia's thumb.

Lydia announced her baby news in August last year, at the same time revealing she had split from boyfriend of two years, Lee Cronin.

The pair met in 2017 before moving in together a year later. They briefly split in January last year but later reconciled.

Speaking about their split, Lydia wrote on Instagram: "Sometimes relationships don't work out but having time away to reflect on how lucky I am in my life, what I have achieved and who I have around me fills my heart with so much love.

"Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same."

One month on from their baby announcement and following a gender reveal party, the new mum revealed she would be expecting a little girl.

At the party, Lydia opened a box decorated with pink and blue flowers, which released lots of pink balloons in the air and confirmed she was expecting a daughter.

While Lydia hasn't confirmed her daughter's name just yet, she did reveal to HELLO! that her baby girl had the nickname of 'Dinky Bright' - after her grandmother who passed away at the age of 21.

Lydia explained that whatever name they choose, it's likely her little one will always be known as 'Dinky'.

The news comes as Lydia and best pal Lucy Mecklenburgh - who is also expecting - had been quizzing followers on who they thought would give birth first.

The pair previously revealed they found out they were expecting on the very same day.

Speaking on 'The Brights' podcast that by chance the best friends were due to start filming Celebrity Hunted when they found out they were going to be mothers.

Lydia said: "I'll never forget the day we both found out we were pregnant.

"Basically, we were both due to start filming on Celebrity Hunted, I thought it would be a good idea to do a pregnancy test a couple of days before because I was off birth control and it came back positive to my shock."
