Love Island UK fans convinced Ellie looks familiar to other famous Islander after spotting detail

We're currently seven episodes deep into the brand-new season of Love Island, which hit our screens at the start of this month (1 June).

There's already been a whole load of chatter amongst ITV viewers concerning George's abrupt exit, Sam's hearing aid use and one fake dumping, but the latest buzz online is all to do with 24-year-old Ellie Chadwick and why fans reckon she looks so familiar.

She entered the villa as an OG, coupling up with Aidan Murphy, 23, before being dumped by bombshells Yasmin Hadlow and George Knight, who are 23 and 28, respectively.

But Ellie and her fellow dumpee, 25-year-old Samraj Toor, were soon told their time in the villa was far from over as they were brought back in a dramatic twist.

She's since gone on to become a fan-favourite amongst Love Island fans, especially after the hilarious 'Bag Gate' drama.

And the hype around her isn't dying down anytime soon, especially after reality TV lovers flocked to social media to share their thoughts that Ellie looked very similar to Love Island alum Molly-Mae Hague.

Now, the 27-year-old took part in the fifth series of the show back in 2019 and, along with partner Tommy Fury, she finished as a runner-up of the series while Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea took home the victory.

Fans have flocked online to share side-by-side photos of Ellie and Molly-Mae from when she was in the villa to highlight the similarities in their appearance, namely their signature blonde high-ponytails as well as fashion sense.

A second confessed: "I thought I was the only one!"

"Molly Mae and Ellie look the same!" agreed a third as a fourth chimed in: "YESS!!! I said this as soon as I saw Ellie."

A fifth echoed: "I said this last night!"

"I keep calling Ellie Molly," revealed a sixth as another theorised: "I swear she's gonna be like her."

And a final TikToker added: "Yes definitely!"
