Selena Gomez has been praised for sharing make-up free selfies on social media which show off her 'natural face and hair'.

Fans thought the actor looked 'stunning' and found it refreshing to see a celebrity show what they actually look like behind the glitz and glam.

The simplicity of Selena's caption 'Me' coincided with her three unfiltered photos.

And followers of the 30-year-old clearly appreciated her look.

"We need more celebrities like you."

A second person added: "Natural beauty your soul hasn't aged may God bless you and your family keep doing what you're doing Selena."

They added: "You show them that they are beautiful, without all the glamor, and that is something that is so very essential to the well-being of our young people.

"Magazines and social media give such a warped idea of what beauty is. Keep being you."

Last month, the singer hit back at people who body-shamed her after she attended the 2023 Golden Globes.

She was nominated for Best Television Actress - Musical/Comedy Series for Only Murders In The Building.

Selena, who attended the award ceremony in a strapless Valentino Haute Couture gown, revealed that she had received abuse from online trolls regarding her physical appearance on the red carpet.

She addressed them head on in an Instagram Live while chatting with her nine-year-old sister, Gracie Elliot Teefey.

On her Instagram account, Selena told her followers: "I'm a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays."

She then turned to her sister and asked for her opinion.

After Gracie appeared to agree with her older sister, Gomez added: "But we don't care," before the pair burst into laughter.

Last year, the former Disney Channel star said that she 'doesn't care about her weight' when discussing the trolls.

Taking to TikTok, she said: "B***h, I am perfect the way I am."

"I'm trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings and a spicy chicken sandwich.

"I don't care about my weight because people b***h about it anyway."
