Abby De La Rosa opens up about ‘polyamorous relationship’ with Nick Cannon
Cannon welcomed his ninth child today, while his 10th and 11th are on the way.
Abby De La Rosa has opened up about being in a polyamorous relationship with Nick Cannon and what she hopes this will teach her children.
The American broadcaster and DJ, 31, made the revelations on the Lovers and Friends podcast to host Shan Boodram, 36, who is a certified sexologist.
She asserted that 'being in a polyamorous relationship doesn't mean you have low self-esteem or self-worth.'

Polyamory, for those unfamiliar with the term, is an open relationship style where people have multiple committed partners, although it can be hierarchal and take other forms too.
"I become hypersensitive when people attack me and my motherhood," De La Rosa added.
She is currently pregnant with her third child after having one-year-old twins, Zion and Zillion, with Cannon, 41.
"Me being open in my relationship does not change or take away from the type of mother that I am to my kids and the wholeness that I am to them and the strength that I share with them," she continued.
The mum said that she hopes her unconventional relationship style will teach her children that they can also choose to live their lives how they see fit.
"To do it their way, not the way that the world wants them to do… to do it their way the way mom and dad did," she asserted.
However, despite currently being polyamorous, the mum said that she eventually sees herself getting into a monogamous relationship.
"I think I see monogamy for myself down the line," she admitted, "and this won't get me there. But I love where I'm at, at this very moment. It's just not my forever."
While De La Rosa described Cannon as her 'primary partner, when she announced that she was expecting her third child back in June, she did not clarify who the father is.
But Cannon appeared to suggest it was him when he said the 'stork' was on the way during an appearance on the Lip Service podcast.
However, it's not just De La Rosa who is seemingly expecting one of Cannon's children at the moment, so too is Brittany Bell, who has confirmed she is expecting a baby boy with him.
Bell and Cannon already have two children together as well.
Her pregnancy was announced in August, shortly after De La Rosa's.
Cannon has a lot of children and welcomed his ninth child today (September 15) with 40-year-old LaNisha Cole - his first with the model.
