Sex Education Fans Baffled By What's Inside Ruby's School Locker

Sex Education Fans Baffled By What's Inside Ruby's School Locker

It is a bit weird, tbf.

Sex Education has dropped on Netflix, and naturally we have all lapped up the new season like it’s going out of fashion.

Season three has seen a number of twists and turns that we never would have seen coming from the Netflix teen drama – and we’re about to discuss them, so if you’ve not seen the series, consider this your spoiler warning.

Ruby takes a prominent role in season three, after it emerges her and Otis have spent all summer having no strings attached sex with one another.

And things start to get more serious between them, when Otis asked for the pair to date as an official couple.

But while fans were happily celebrating Ruby and Otis taking things to the next step, others were a little perplexed at what Ruby keeps in her locker.

Yep, in season three episode two, we see Ruby and Otis have a brief conversation by the lockers, before Ruby opens up the door.

And while we kept notebooks and our PE kit in our locker, it seems Ruby keeps her pet dog Baby locked up in there instead.

It’s something that didn’t go unnoticed, with many viewers taking to Twitter to question why Ruby keeps her dog in the small, cramped box.

“Wait why does Ruby’s dog live in her locker?” one person asked, adding a crying emoji.

A second added passionately: “TWITTER. Why have you been all ‘ooh, Otis and Ruby’? She KEEPS HER DOG IN A LOCKER SHE IS TRASH.”

“Ruby put her dog in her locker? Wtf?” gasped a third fan, while a fourth said: “I felt so uncomfortable and anxious with the dog in the locker scene in Sex Education s3e2 .It's implied Ruby is leaving the dog there all day. That's animal cruelty.”

But we can rest assure you that Mimi Keene, who plays Ruby, is genuinely a kind a loving dog mama in real life.

Baby is actually her pet dog outside the show, and she managed to get her sweet puppy a small cameo on set.

“I’ve never been this proud in my life,” Mimi told RadioTimes.com. “I’m a proud mother. I’ve been trying to get her in since season one – I’ve been, like, slowly, slowly, bringing her with me every day, letting everyone get to know her…

“She’s a star, she is. She’s a diva, but she’s allowed – she’s the one person that’s allowed. Now she just needs a red carpet moment.”
