Love Island Fans Left Reeling After Paige Says She's 'Old'

Paige made a shocking confession on the first episode of Love Island and fans are upset.

Love Island is finally back however fans were left reeling after Paige Owen made a shocking comment about her age.

The paramedic described herself as 'old' during the first episode and fans quickly took to social media to have a collective meltdown about their ages.

One viewer shared the hilarious meme of Chris Hughes contemplating life in bed from Love Island 2017 and wrote: "Paige: '24 is so old!!'

Another fan retorted: "Nawt Paige thinking 24 is old. Help".

A third emotional Twitter user wrote: "Nothing brings you down a notch quicker than 24 years olds talking about how old they are".

Paige was the first contentestant confirmed for the new series of Love Island. The singleton is originally from Swansea and she headed into the villa of love because there’s ‘just nobody there anymore’ in her hometown for her to date.




She’s set to bring ‘positive energy, lots of bubbly energy’ and said she’s ‘a good cook’ and is ‘quite mumsy’. Her signature dish is a Sunday dinner and she reckons Gordon Ramsay would be impressed with her culinary skills.

On why she’s single, Paige said: “I came out of a relationship and I was just so done with guys so was like, ‘right, that's it. I’m going to focus on me.’ Then I was like, ‘OK, I’m bored now, I’m lonely and I miss love and the connection and everything else.’ I’ve been on a few dates but I just haven’t clicked with anyone."
