Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel Strawbridge shut down company after being axed by Channel 4

Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel Strawbridge shut down company after being axed by Channel 4

The shutting down comes just weeks after the TV couple were axed by Channel 4.

Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel Strawbridge have shut down their company just weeks after they were axed by Channel 4.

Last month, the TV couple - who rose to fame on the Channel 4 show - were sacked by the broadcaster following a review into their conduct.

That actually came before a leaked recording obtained by Deadline heard Angel describing a member of the Escape To The Chateau as a 'f**ked up little c**t'.

Angel questioned two producers about a delay to her schedule, with her anger evidently growing throughout the clip.

She even accused one of the individuals of posting a photo to Instagram of a man she bellied had a likeness to her husband.

Dick and Angel Strawbridge recently left Channel 4.

"Who is that inspired by when you’re f**king working at the chateau? Just tell me that and then you can f**king leave and this is me f**king angry because I think you’re a f**kind up little c**t," she said in the clip originally from 2021.

The couple did not respond to Deadline's comment at the time, but they did release a statement after their departure from Channel 4 was confirmed.

Taking to Instagram, Angel and Dick paid tribute to their fans before adding that their future 'truly could not look more exciting' despite their controversial exit from Channel 4.

They wrote: "Thank you for inviting us into your living rooms. You have watched our children grow up and shared our adventures.

"It was a Strawbridge Family decision early last year to conclude Escape to the Chateau, but we have loved every moment and, despite the many challenges, we refused to give up on our dream, and in doing so have filled the chateau with love and laughter, and, most importantly, have created the most wonderful home for our family.

The coupe did nine seasons of the Channel 4 show.

"We know there are lots of stories in the press right now. It’s not worth us even trying to comment or give context, because anything can be made into a good headline.

"We understand. There are two sides to every story and from the incredible support we have received, most of you know that."

The concluded their statement by stating how 'exciting' the future looks for them despite leaving the show that shot them to fame.

The unfortunate news continues for the couple though as they have now shut down their chateau company after six years.

Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson Limited will soon be closing for business as Dick and Angel have signed a 'voluntary strike off' of the Companies House register.

The residency was host to wedding receptions, garden days and tours - but those are all now unavailable.
