1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has responded to questions over her 'voice change' following her mammoth weight loss on a new podcast.
The reality star has been praised for her incredible 500lb weight loss in the last few years, all thanks to a combination of bariatric surgery and lifestyle changes, but that's not the only thing that has changed about her.
Tammy recently appeared as a guest on the Creative Chaos podcast and was talking about her progress and the criticism she has received since becoming a household name.
She originally weighed more than 700lb when the show began in 2020, alongside her sister Amy, who has also gone on to lose an impressive amount of weight.

Over the years, many people have questioned Tammy's habit of speaking in a 'baby voice', but viewers had also noticed something else.
"I saw some people comment on a couple of the videos we had made, and they were like, 'Oh, Tammy's voice has changed'," she explained to host Hunter Ezell.
"I have a lisp now" she confirmed, as Hunter asked her why she thought that is.

"My teeth!" she exclaimed. "It'll go away eventually, but that's the only way I can think of why my voice might have changed... I'm happier?"
Hunter responded with some reassurance: "Yeah, girl. I love that though. I think people can see that through your character though and see how you're much more outgoing."
However, Tammy revealed it's all a work in progress, hence why she thinks the lisp will go away.

"They're temporary still," she explained of her teeth. "But they had to cement them in because the glue wasn't holding, my body was rejecting it. They had to pull teeth and it's a bridge, I'm still getting more done."
Hunter asked Tammy how she feels about the mean comments she can receive online.
"I find it absolutely repulsive the amount of people that would comment on those videos that you and I posted. 'When's she going to fix her teeth?' Do you not think she knows that?" he said angrily.
"It's not easy," she confessed, and she joked: "Haters make me famous."

Elsewhere on the podcast they talked about the fact they had photos together and people thought they were a couple, with Hunter exclaiming "I'm married!" and Tammy replied "and I'm gay!" as they burst out laughing.
Commenters praised her new look, as well as her new teeth.
"Tammy you're adorable! You’ve worked so hard! Don’t worry bout those teeth, I had to have all my top removed and replaced, it’s a process! You look amazing no matter what!," one supporter said.

"I got really annoyed by people talking s**t about her tooth. Give Tammy time. Let her do it on her own time."
While another added: "Her teeth look great. Better than mine!"
