People Are Only Just Realising What The Centre Of A Kinder Surprise Egg Is

How has it taken us this long to realise?

We all grew up loving Kinder Surprise eggs (and still do, tbh), our only gripe was that they just went too quickly...

But now, one Kinder fan has blown everyone's minds by revealing something pretty obvious about the delicious treats, and we can't believe we never realised.

In case you're unaware, a Kinder egg features a milk chocolate shell, lined with a super sweet layer of white cream on the inside. The best part is it also features a toy in the middle, held in a little yellow plastic case.

And while we're kicking ourselves for never having thought of this earlier, it all makes sense now. The Kinder chocolate is *supposed* to resemble an actual egg.

While the chocolate represents the shell, the creamy inner layer resembles the white and the yellow toy, the yolk.

The fan took to the Children of the 1980s Facebook group, posting an image of a Kinder egg next to a real one, captioned: "I was today years old when I realised".

And other Kinder fans rushed to the comments to reveal they too had no idea.

One wrote: "Well I never, neither did I and it's so obvious now you point it out."

While another commented: "45, who knew??? Apparently you're never too old to learn something new!!"

Another went as far as to say their life was now complete after discovering the news, while one person wrote: "53 you learn something new everyday."

One fan however, was adamant he knew all along, explaining: "I thought this when I was a kid and they came out."

Unlike many other chocolate eggs, Kinder Surprises are available all year round and were originally created in 1974. They're based on the Italian tradition of children being given chocolate eggs containing a toy at Easter.

Anyone else seriously craving a Kinder egg right now?
