We're all ears when it comes to boozy summer drinks, and this year has seen a trend for adult slushies.

We've already waxed lyrical about Twister-inspired cocktails (honestly, if you haven't yet, check these out), but now we're moving on to something far more fruity but equally delicious.

Watermelon vodka slushy, anyone?

The recipe comes courtesy of former model and Queen of Twitter, Chrissy Teigen, and it's super easy to make with amazing results. People are already raving about the icy cocktail having made it at home!

Over on her food blog, Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, the TV personality wrote on the drink: "Bringing back a childhood favourite into our adult lives. Say hello to my new vodka watermelon SLUSHIE.

"Take some frozen watermelon cubes, chilled vodka, and simply blend it all up into an icy adult treat! Feel free to skip the alcohol so your kids can enjoy it too, and if vodka isn't your drink of choice, try adding tequila or white wine instead!"

The best part is they drink only takes five minutes to whip up, once you've done all your prep - so they're ideal for an impromptu heatwave cocktail or to pull out for last-minute garden guests.

All you need to make four servings of the slushies is 1/4 cup of freshly-squeezed lime or lemon juice, 1/4 cup of sugar, 4 cups of cubed seedless watermelon, 1 cup of chilled (or preferably frozen) vodka, lemon or lime wheels and mint sprigs for garnish.

Begin by combining the lime juice and sugar in a small bowl and stir until dissolved.

Make space in your freezer for a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange your cubed watermelon in the dish, then pour the sugar-lime juice all over the watermelon. Freeze for four hours and up to 24.

Once frozen, transfer the watermelon and any frozen liquid that's gathered to a blender along with the vodka and blend until slushy.

Finally to serve, pour into glasses and garnish with lime wheels and mint sprigs.

Already, fans have been making their own versions of Chrissy's slushies, and sharing their creations over on Twitter.

Anyone want one of these, like, right now? Time to go watermelon shopping.
