Since brands like Magnum and Cadbury's have handed over the design reins to their customers, it seems other companies like Nestlé are keen to follow suit.

Hot on the heels of the create your own Magnum pop-up shop in London and design your own Cadbury's bar competition, Nestlé has decided to launch the KitKat Chocolatory, which has now arrived in 30 John Lewis stores across the country as well as York's Chocolate Story attraction and will remain until 24th December.

The design your own KitKat called 'Create Your Break' sounds utterly glorious, especially as there are over 1,500 different flavour combinations to finish your eight-finger bar with.

First you'll choose your chocolate: milk, dark, white or ruby and then you can go wild finishing your bar with three toppings from shortbread pieces, to salted caramel chunks, honeycomb and rose petals.

If you can't decide what you like best, instead you could choose from the new special edition flavours or 'Best of British' bars.

Offering a slice of home, the British collection includes flavours such as Bakewell Tart, Dandelion and Burdock, Marmalade, Apple and Rhubarb Crumble, Earl Grey and Eton Mess.

Imagine Eton Mess in a chocolate bar. We're drooling. Mr Kipling might be less enthused people are messing with the Bakewell Tart, but we think it sounds delicious.

The white swirled option is the Bakewell tart KitKat on offer, while the bright pink bar is tasty-sounding Eton mess.

And how could we forget the boozy versions KitKat is serving up? Gin and Tonic and Whiskey and Ginger are two of the limited edition options we want to get our hands on ASAP.

The six finger special edition bars in John Lewis will set you back £7.50, while the eight finger create your own version will cost £14, and the Best of British collection will be £12 a piece.

Not cheap for a chocolate fix, but they are bigger than your average KitKat and look incredible. Go on and treat yo'self.

The good news too, is that even if you can't get down to John Lewis, Nestlé will be launching the DIY offering on its website in time for Christmas - you can even personalise the packaging, although prices online are yet to be confirmed.
