Do you think of yourself as a bit of scone specialist? Do you know which should be applied first, the cream or the jam?

Perhaps you can spot a light fluffy sponge cake a mile off, or you live for a crustless finger sandwich. If so, we've found the perfect job for you.

The Daffodil Hotel & Spa in the Lake District is looking for a team of tasters to review a complimentary festive afternoon tea and be paid £100 to do it! Um, yes please.

The winning candidates will spend a day sampling luxurious treats from the hotel's festive afternoon tea menu, to ensure it's top notch before it is offered out to the general public, offering their feedback to the pastry chef after they've indulged.

You'll feast on the likes of turkey and bacon sliders, brie and cranberry tarts, red velvet and peppermint whoopie pies, Rudolph's cranberry frosted 'noses,' festive wreath cookies and coconut snowmen as well as regular scones. Sounds yum.

You'll also wash it all down with a flight of festive prosecco, including Turkish delight with rosé prosecco and sparkling iced raspberry and amaretto flavoured fizz.

The usual price of the spread is £25 just for the food with tea and an extra £14 for the prosecco flight - so you're essentially getting £39 worth of treats for nothing.

But the beauty of this reviewer job doesn't stop there. You will be able to take a plus one with you to help you scoff all the goodies, which will be done whilst looking out on views of Grasmere in the countryside, from the hotel's restaurant. And afterwards the pair of you can stay overnight in a room that overlooks a lake.

And don't forget the spa either, this four star hotel offers a thermal pool, sauna and steam room for you to unwind in.

Your travel fair to Grasmere won't be covered however, but the £100 the hotel reward you with for coming along, will no doubt cover transport costs.

You can forget sending in your CV for this 'job,' though, as all you need to do is fill out an application form - just make sure you do so by 22nd November.

If you are one of the lucky winners, you'll be informed on 25th November and you'll then be offered stay dates to choose from.

Sound like your kind of work? You can apply here.

And just so you know, our Queen says the jam should go on a scone first - just so you don't make a faux pas if you get chosen!
