M&S's Christmas Colin The Caterpillar Cake Arrives In Stores Today

Christmas is just around the corner - seeing many of us get the festive food in to prep for the big day.

And for those of us who aren't huge fans of the traditional Christmas pud, Marks and Spencer is offering us a chocolatey alternative.

Our old mate Colin the Caterpillar (best loved at birthday parties) is feeling as festive as the rest of us, with the popular cake now launching a special Christmas edition - and he really does look good enough to eat.

The festive Colin features the usual chocolate Swiss roll, covered in a thick milk chocolate and decorated with a white chocolate smiley face - but now also sees a number of additional (and edible) Christmassy treats, including red bells, white baubles, a stack of presents and dark chocolate Christmas trees.

The new design is topped off with a tiny edible Santa's hat. Cute!

Priced at only £10, the Christmas Colin is perfect for any birthdays coming up over the festive period - or if you just fancy an extra large chocolatey treat.

Another one of Marks and Spencers's beloved characters has had a bit of a makeover over the last few weeks.

The Percy Pig range has had a number of new items added - from mince pies to mini-bites - but their Percy Pig Celebration Cake has topped them all.

The new cake looks absolutely mouth-watering, with layers of delicious sponge, sandwiched together with pink buttercream and lashings of jam.

And that's not the only chocolate/birthday treat you can get your hands on this season.

B&M has got its hands on Cadbury's Birthday Cake flavoured chocolate bar - and at a bargain price.

The new bar is made up of the rich Dairy Milk chocolate that we know and love, and is loaded with chunky marshmallows, Hundreds and Thousands sprinkles and biscuit pieces. We're drooling just at the sound of it!

Priced at just £1.25, the chocolatey offering is a whole 74p cheaper at B&M than GB Gifts, where it was first made available in June this year.

Looks like a trip to B&M may be in order...
