A cheese conveyor belt has arrived in London and it's safe to say we are all drooling at the mouth. Pick & Cheese, located in the new KERB Seven Dials market, features 25 different cheeses for you to choose from.
From humble beginnings as a trader at Maltby Street Market to becoming a fully fledged restauranteur in 2016, Mathew Carver - the cheese conveyor belt founder (aka. Monsieur le cheese god) - has now revolutionised the way we eat cheese.
Fromage enthusiasts can revel in Mathew's selection of signature pieces or can simply pick out whatever dish catches their fancy. From lighter cheeses like a buttery Gubbean or a crumbly Wensleydale, to stronger ones like a Rollright or pungent Renegade Monk, there's a little something there for everyone.
So, if sushi just isn't your thing but you're jealous of all the fun that goes on inside Yo Sushi's culinary walls, then head on down to Seven Dials Market to experience a whole conveyor belt dedicated completely to cheese.
Designed to get people trying new and diverse British cheeses, Mathew is keen to open the nation's eyes to local culinary delights.
Each of the cheeses come with a different condiment and can be paired with a local wine upon request. Of these combinations include fresh ricotta with sherry-infused cherries and a hazelnut brittle.
For a totally cheese fuelled experience, the nifty cheese connoisseurs have rustled up a desert menu that is totally in keeping with the restaurant's theme. On the menu you can expect a Baron Bigod brie and Beauvale Blue soft-serve ice cream.
Guests can attend on a walk-in basis but there are two booths that are available to book online for groups of up to six people.
What's more, over the coming months, Mathew will be hosting talks and events with some of his favourite British cheese-makers.
