Lace Shorts Are Here To Keep Your Man Chilled This Summer

Lace Shorts Are Here To Keep Your Man Chilled This Summer

This summer seems to be the summer of gender-bending fashion, doesn't it? First, we were treated to ASOS's 'moob tube' which drummed up some conversation online, and now we bring you: lace shorts.

It's a fabric that's generally reserved for dresses, blouses and lingerie so it's no wonder you rarely see men rocking it. But that could be all about to change thanks to one LA menswear label.

Hologram City has started selling its 'Lace Me Up' shorts - and we've got a strange feeling they might be the start of something.

The shorts are made entirely of floral-patterned lace and feature two side pockets and one back pocket. They won't exactly conceal your belongings though as the shorts are entirely see-through.

Boxers optional but advised.

The shorts come in an array of colours to suit every man, including pink, blue, purple and black.

They kind of remind us of a doily, how about you?

We joke, but let's face it, the global festival scene is crying out for a new male trend to rival the likes of crochet and under boob. Men just don't get enough chances to express themselves aesthetically like women do on the festival scene.

And don't pretend you can't see these at Coachella.

The Lace Me Up shorts cost $42 (£33) and if you're interested in the 'full look', you can cop the shirt version for the same price. Yes, there is an entirely lace shirt to go along with it.

And it's not just lace creations; Hologram City, who are based in LA, seem to be the go-to for many of your transparent fashion needs. They also do a number of net items such as shorts, shirts, hoodies and ponchos.

Velvet shorts, cropped hoodies and gym holsters are also among their offering.

While Hologram city's lace shorts are only available in the US right now, ASOS DESIGN do a pair sheer orange organza shorts for £30 if you want to live our your sheer festival dreams in the UK. They also do a matching shirt for £25.

Mark our words: all the lads will be swapping our their bandanas for lace shorts this summer.
