Now that we're officially in our hot girl summer season - it's clear many of us are keeping our fingers on the pulse when it comes to new trends dropping in the run-up to the hotter months.

And the latest summer fad sees a new 'naked bikini' trend taking over our Instagram feeds and - heads up - it's definitely not your average swimsuit situation.

Every summer we see a whole load of hypes come and go; from those iconic block-colour Triangl bikinis circa 2012 all the way back to sun tan stencils that pretty much ruled the late 90s and early 2000s.
While it's not uncommon for many of us to don swimsuits with a skin-tone colour when it comes to poolside attire - certain celebs are popularising a whole new definition to the idea of 'nude' bikinis.
Social media stars like Kim Kardashian and pop icons like P!nk are sporting some pretty cool beachwear and fans are going wild for it.
Last month (30 May), the 'So What' hit-maker took to Instagram to share with her 9.8 million followers how her summer is going so far.
She uploaded a photo wearing a skin-tone bandeau bikini top with a cartoon design of some cleavage with what appears to be a bunch of bananas covering the nipples.
In the same post, P!nk uploaded a naked shot of her showering with her private parts censored with blue and red stars and hearts.
She captioned the series of snaps: "Lake weekends and a new ridiculous bathing suit.
"If you haven’t showered outdoors while your husband tries to scare you every five minutes you haven’t lived!!!!!!"
The mum-of-two also added the hastags '#embarassingmoms #eyerollsfordays #bananaboobies #imfun'.
And P!nk's not the only mum who has got on board with the trend. Miss Kim K has also shared a bunch of bikini pics showcasing her own spin on the latest summer craze.
Promoting her Skims swimwear line, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared four pics wearing the white two-piece number in the sand as clear-blue waves rolled over her.
The waves offered a transparent and somewhat see-through element to the look, but it's clear that was definitely the vibe Kim was going for as she captioned the post: "Life tip - do you."
So, it's clear we can all probably expect to see a whole lot more sheer, mesh and even see-through swimwear on our feeds over the next coming months.
