Meghan Markle defended after people spot Prince Archie's feet during surprise outing

The Sussexes enjoyed a wholesome family day out to a pumpkin patch over the weekend

Meghan Markle has been defended by fans after some of her followers took issue with the way Prince Archie was dressed during a recent outing.

For those who missed it, the mother-of-two, 44, took to Instagram over the weekend (26 October) to share a heartwarming reel of a family day out to a pumpkin patch with her husband Prince Harry and their little ones.

The reel showed Archie, six, and his younger sister Princess Lilibet, four, having fun running around a corn field, pushing around a wheelbarrow with pumpkins and later helping the adults carve them.

However, as we say, online trolls have taken it among themselves to find an issue with the wholesome reel - this time it being that Archie is barefoot for a small section of the video.

The part in question is when he walks over to the grown-ups on the patio, who are taking their tools to the pumpkins to create jack-o'-lanterns.

It's literally for a few split seconds, and for the entire rest of the video the youngster is sporting a pair of trainers as he runs around the fields.

But as we know, some people are quite determined to pick up on every detail, and the internet has clung onto this particular moment.

One person furiously took to Twitter to write: "Why is Meghan Markle dressed for winter in $1600 worth of clothes yet her son is running around completely barefooted? What the heck is going on in that family?"

While another bizarrely added: "It's Autumn. Why are Meghan and Harry wearing coats but not Lili? Why is Archie barefoot here?

"Where is everyone else? Why does Archie's hair look photoshopped? So many questions..."

Another questioned: "Why has Archie no socks and shoes on at a farm?" while someone else quipped: "Archie is barefoot in October".

However, others have rushed to the defence of the royal couple, with one person hitting back with: "They are nothing to do with you, who cares? There are billions of children in the world, I'm sure you could pick holes in the attire of many of them if you felt so inclined."

Others agreed: "What's it got to do with you?" and "Kids do that...its normal."

"They live in California…Montecito… it’s 22c," someone else pointed out, while another added: "They are back home carving the pumpkins, so doesn’t have to wear shoes."

But this detail is not the only thing that's got people talking, as some fans have taken to social media to discuss compare Archie's fashion sense to that of his father.

In the video, Harry is sporting a khaki hoodie, casual straight-leg jeans and a cap. While Archie wore a simple short-sleeved black t-shirt and matching jeans underneath, throwing on a brown quilted jacket at one point.

Fans gushed: "Archie is literally a mini Harry down to the clothes" and "The face is Meghan, the stance and fashion is all Harry - adorable!"

Someone else added: "He even walks like him."
