A midwife has rushed to the defence of the Duchess of Sussex this week, after she shared a controversial clip of herself in labour.
Marking she and Prince Harry's daughter Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday, Meghan Markle took to social media several times yesterday (4 June) to post sweet tributes.
The mother-of-two began with a sweet black and white snap, where she can be seen cradling her little girl on what appears to be a boat.

"Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!" she wrote in the caption. "Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!"
Later in the day, 43-year-old Meghan shared a never-before-seen photograph of her royal husband holding his daughter in her arms when she was a baby, looking into the little one's eyes - as well as another, more recent snap of the pair walking side-by-side on the beach.
In the hours that followed, the former Suits actress surprised her Instagram followers by upload a clip of her and Harry, 40, dancing and twerking around the delivery room just before the Lilibet's birth.
"Four years ago today, this also happened," she described the video. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates…so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do!"

Sadly for Meghan, however, the post was heavily criticised by a batch of social media trolls, who branded the couple 'cringe'.
Other claimed claimed it was 'not royalty' to be seen twerking, adding: "Keep some private moments…private!"
As we say, however, one midwife has since stuck up for the Sussexes in public, insisting that moving and dancing in such a way is common - and actually advised - for women in labour.
"I'm a midwife - this is not cringe at all," X user @mdwfmom wrote. "It's excellent to progress labour for multiple reasons."

After a critic asked in the comments, 'Why isn't the IV in her arm connected to the bag?, the healthcare worker then went on to explain: "It's called a saline lock. Very common.
"She doesn't need fluids running because she's in early labour and doesn't have an epidural."
Another hater went on to respond to the clip of Meghan, writing, 'Anyone with early labour won't be dancing like this.' To which the midwife subsequently hit back: "Clearly you know nothing about early labour. Or this may even be before an induction for all we know.

"Yes, I have seen many women do this. It's called 'labour dance'."
A third troll went on to ask the birthing guru: "As a midwife... does that look like a normal baby bump to you?" and she immediately responded, claiming: "It looks like a baby bump with a wireless monitor on it. Very common... so, yeah."
The same critic wrote back: "Having had two babies of my own, and having worn monitors, I'm going to respectfully disagree," to which the midwife sarcastically replied: "You're free to. I'm sure you're familiar with every type of wireless monitor."
