Former United States First Lady Michelle Obama has revealed she was 'meant to see' Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, the night they were killed.
The 78-year-old filmmaker and Michele, 68, were found dead over the weekend (14 December) in their Los Angeles home.
Investigators believe the individuals suffered 'stab wounds', leading detectives to launch an investigation into an 'apparent homicide'.
On Monday (15 December), it was announced by police that the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick, had been arrested and 'booked for murder'.

A spokesman for the family previously confirmed the death of Rob, who directed several box-office smashes, including This Is Spinal Tap, Misery, When Harry Met Sally and The Bucket List, and his wife of more than 35 years, photographer and actress Michele.
As per the BBC, a family spokesperson said in a statement: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner.
"We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time."

Tributes have since flooded in for the Hollywood couple, with Michele appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday to reveal that she and her husband, Barack Obama, had planned to see them on the evening they were killed.
"We’ve known them for many, many years, and we were supposed to be seeing them that night, last night, and we got the news," she shared.
The 61-year-old attorney continued: "Let me just say this – unlike some people, Rob and Michele Reiner are some of the most decent, courageous people you’d ever want to know. They are not deranged or crazed.
"What they have always been are passionate people in a time when there’s not a lot of courage going on."
Michelle's comments follow 'vile' remarks made by US President Donald Trump, who criticised Rob following news of his death.

In a post on Truth Social, the 79-year-old claimed (without evidence) that Reiner and his wife 'reportedly' died 'due to the anger he caused others through' an apparent disease known as 'Trump Derangement Syndrome', comments which have been widely condemned.
"A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood," Trump wrote yesterday. "Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS.
"He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession with President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before.
"May Rob and Michele rest in peace!"
Speaking to Kimmel, Michelle continued on yesterday's broadcast: "They were the kind of people who were ready to put their actions behind what they cared about. And they cared about their family. They cared about this country. And they cared about fairness and equity.
"And that is the truth. I do know them."
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass called the deaths 'a devastating loss for the city and our country,' saying she is 'holding all who loved Rob and Michele in my heart'.
"An acclaimed actor, director, producer, writer, and engaged political activist, [Rob] always used his gifts in service of others," Bass said in a statement, adding that 'he and Michele fought for early childhood development and marriage equality, working to overturn Proposition 8. They were true champions for LGBTQ+ rights'.
