Rob Reiner's son, Nick Reiner, has been arrested and is in custody on bail, according to the LASD Inmate Center records.
The 32-year-old, who is the son of Rob and his wife Michele, was arrested and 'booked for murder', with the LASD Inmate Information Center noting that he was arrested at 9.15pm local time on Sunday.
Detectives began investigating an 'apparent homicide' after two bodies were found at the American film director's home on Sunday, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) told the Press Association.
"The Robbery Homicide Division responded to the residence, which has been identified as the home of Rob Reiner," officials confirmed. "At this time, no further details are available as this is an ongoing RHD investigation into an apparent homicide."

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) says it responded to a medical aid request shortly after 3.30 pm on Sunday and found a 78-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman dead inside.
Investigators believe the individuals suffered stab wounds, and a family member had been questioned, an official previously said.
A spokesman for the family previously confirmed the death of the Hollywood filmmaker, who directed a number of box-office smashes, including This Is Spinal Tap, Misery and When Harry Met Sally and The Bucket List, and his wife of more than 35 years, photographer and actress Michele.
As per the BBC, a family spokesperson said in a statement: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner.
"We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time."
Rob was married twice and had a blended family of four children: Tracy, Jake, Nick and Romy. He adopted Tracy, the biological daughter of his former wife, Penny Marshall and then went on to have three biological children of his own - Jake, Nick, and Romy - with his second wife, Michele.
Following in his parents' Hollywood footsteps, Nick worked as a screenwriter and is best known for co-writing the screenplay for the 2016 film titled Being Charlie, which his father, Rob, directed.
The film, about a drug-addicted teenager, was loosely based on his own addiction struggles, Nick told People at the time of its release.
