Jane Fonda has shed light on how Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, were the night before their tragic deaths.
The famous Hollywood filmmaker, 78, and his wife, 67, were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday (14 December), and detectives have since launched an investigation into an 'apparent homicide'.
Yesterday (15 December), it was announced by police that their son Nick, 32, had been arrested and 'booked for murder', though he has yet to be charged with anything.
Reiner was both a prolific filmmaker and actor and is behind some of the most well-known movies of the 1980s and 1990s, such as the romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally and the legal thriller A Few Good Men in 1992.

Since the news of their passing broke, tributes have poured in for the celebrity couple, including from former US president Barack Obama, Whoopi Goldberg, former US House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi, and singer Sir Elton John, to name just a few.

Also among those paying tribute on social media was American actress and activist Jane Fonda, 87, who was friends with the couple.
She took to Instagram to share a picture of the late couple alongside a lengthy message, revealing she was with them just one day before they died.
Fonda spoke of how they were 'looking happy and healthy', and their death has left her 'stunned' and 'reeling with grief'.
She wrote: "Rob and Michele Reiner were wonderful, caring, smart, funny, generous people, always coming up with ideas for how to make the world better, kinder.
"They had been helping me launch the Committee for the First Amendment. I saw them night before last looking healthy and happy. I am reeling with grief. Stunned."
As we say, the Reiners' son was arrested on Sunday night and is being held in custody, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff Department Inmate Information Centre.
It was previously reported that he was being held on a four-million-dollar (£2.9 million) bail; however, the LAPD said in a press release that he was being held on no bail (via People).
Nick worked with his father on the 2016 film, Being Charlie, which was loosely inspired by his experience of addiction and attending rehab.

The film, which he co-wrote, was directed by Rob and follows the son of a US governor, Charlie, played by Nick Robinson, as he battles with drug abuse.
Also paying tribute was author Stephen King, who said he was 'horrified and saddened' by the news.
He wrote: "Wonderful friend, political ally, and brilliant filmmaker (including 2 of mine). Rest in peace, Rob. You always stood by me."
While Sir Elton John added: "I am in disbelief at today's news of Rob and Michele. They were two of the most beautiful people I'd ever met and they deserved better."
And former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi emotionally said: “The news of a deadly assault on Rob and Michelle Reiner in their home is devastating. It’s hard to think of anyone more remarkable and excellent in every field and endeavor they pursued.
"Rob was creative, funny, and beloved. And in all of their endeavors, Michelle was his indispensable partner, intellectual resource, and a loving wife.”
