Princess Lilibet’s unique headband has sweet hidden meaning linked to Meghan
Royal Family fans have noticed a heartwarming detail in Meghan Markle’s latest family snaps, as she wished her husband, Prince Harry, a happy birthday.
The Duke of Sussex is celebrating his 42nd birthday on Tuesday (15 September), after making the move back to the UK with his family last month.
Harry, Meghan, and their two kids, Lilibet, five, and Archie, seven, have travelled over from California after six years of residing in the States, with the kids enrolling in British schools.
In one of the few glimpses we’ve got so far of their UK life, Meghan wrote on Instagram: “He’s simply the best. Happy birthday, my love,” alongside a carousel of photos of Harry with the kids.

The snaps showed Harry playing archery with his son, skiing with his daughter, family quad biking, and dinners out, to name just a few.
And as we say, in one of them, eagle-eyed Royal Family fans picked up on a specific, unique accessory that Lilibet was wearing and worked out its meaning.
In an adorable photo of the five-year-old giving her dad a kiss, she was donning a headband adorned with mahjong tiles.
Now, for those of you who have no idea what mahjong is, it’s a traditional, four-player tile game of skill, strategy, and calculation that originated in China during the 19th century.
Lili’s mum is known to be a huge mahjong fan, and Hello! Magazine reports that Meghan is currently teaching her daughter how to play the game.
In fact, Meghan loves the game so much that she actually spent her 45th birthday playing it last month with her gal pals and even had a mahjong-themed birthday cake.
Her close friend Tracy Robins posted a photo of the Duchess blowing out her candles, as well as dining out at a restaurant while playing the game.
During her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, she and friends like Robbins, Victoria Jackson, and Jennifer Rudolph Walsh branded themselves the ‘Maj Squad’.
Reacting to Lilibet’s headband, one Redditor penned: “Oh wow, is that a mahjong headband Lili is wearing? I just started playing on an app, so I recognize the symbols.”
While a second and third added: “Looking good! Love the mahjong pieces on Lili” and “Lili's Mahjong hairband is adorable!!”
A fourth chimed in with: “Aaaw Lilibet's hairband in second picture with Mahjong tiles, probably got it from her mama who plays with her girls!”
And a fifth gushed: “I love the mahjong tile headband!!”
Meanwhile, others simply complimented the cute family photos, writing: “Gosh, these are lovely pictures! My goodness” and “What a beautiful life”.
A third gushed: “Gingers of Sussex!!! I just love that they’re living such a normal life. I think that’s all they ever wanted for their children. Happy birthday, Harry! Wishing this family nothing but the best - they’ve been through so much.”
While a fourth added: “Omg their life is gorgeous. I'm so happy for them. It brings me joy seeing little glimpses of their life.”
And a fifth wrote: “I love these pics! So happy for them and am glad they moved back to UK. Hope all goes well for them.”
