Donald Trump has sparked outrage with a 'disgusting' statement he made about Rob Reiner's death.
Hollywood filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer were found dead in their Los Angeles home on Sunday (14 December) in what police are investigating as an 'apparent homicide'.
The 78-year-old star was a renowned Hollywood director who helmed some of the most well-known movies of the 1980s and 1990s, such as A Few Good Men in 1992 and When Harry Met Sally in 1989, where he met Michele, a photographer and actress.
In a shocking turn of events, the couple's son Nick Reiner, 32, has since been arrested and is being held on suspicion of murder after his parents were found stabbed to death.

Following the tragic news, celebrities and fans alike have been paying tribute to the couple on social media.

However, US President Donald Trump instead issued a blistering rant on Monday (15 December) that's left people speechless.
He wrote on Truth Social: "A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS."
The statement continued: "He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace!"
People have been left outraged by the extremely controversial 'vile' about Reiner, who was a supporter of the Democrats and an outspoken critic of Trump.
Actor Patrick Schwarzenegger wrote on Twitter: "What a disgusting and vile statement."
Whoopi Goldberg said: "I don't understand the man in the White House. He spoke at length about Charlie Kirk and about caring, and then this is what he puts out. Have you no shame? No shame at all? Can you get any lower? I don't think so."
California governor Gavin Newsom described Trump as 'a sick man'.
And British broadcaster Piers Morgan called it a 'dreadful thing to say' and urged 'Delete it, Mr President'.
However, despite hordes of people demanded he apologise, he has since doubled down on his comments during later comments to reporters.
When asked in the Oval Office whether he stood by his social media post, he said: "Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned."
He continued: "The Russia hoax, he was one of the people behind it. I think he hurt himself career-wise. He became, like, a deranged person. Trump derangement syndrome. So I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape or form. I thought he was very bad for our country.”
Tyla has contacted the White House for comment.
