Joe Biden has hit out at Donald Trump with a damning speech, calling him ‘incompetent’ and ‘corrupt’ for his controversial political choices and America 250 projects.

The 83-year-old Democrat and former US President made his true feelings clear during a speech at a state Democratic Party gala in Hanover, Maryland, on Saturday (27 June).

For those who need a reminder, Biden was the 46th president of the US, serving from 2021 to 2025.

However, he withdrew from the 2024 United States presidential election and instead endorsed Kamala Harris, after intense pressure and concerns around his health, declaring that his candidacy would have been a ‘real distraction’ for Democrats.

While it’s public knowledge that Biden and Trump don’t exactly see eye to eye, the latest comments are arguably the most blunt yet from the left-wing politician.

Biden began to list all of Trump’s controversial decisions, such as his renovations on the White House and building an arch for America 250.

He said: “Middle class built this country, and labour built the middle class.

“Look, it’s not just his deliberate destruction of NATO and his choosing Putin over American allies, or the fact that he’s diminished our standing in the eyes of the world more than any President in history has.

“It’s not just his vanity projects, tearing down the East Wing of the White House, making room for his ballroom, putting his name on the Kennedy Centre, building an arch in his own honour.

“Even hiring his own pool guy to fix the reflecting pool.”

The politician paused for a moment before declaring: “Whoa, what a loser” - a statement that was met with huge cheers from the crowd.

Continuing with his sweeping attack, he added, “Now, folks, it’s not just that. The reflecting pool reflects something even worse than the narcissism and incompetence at the core of this administration. It’s the corruption.

“The corruption - the brazen, blatant corruption. Corruption on a scale never seen before in American history in any administration.”

Biden claimed: “Trump has made billions of dollars since he returned to the White House. It’s simply stunning to me. He has no shame, and frankly, it’s embarrassing for the country. But Trump, Trump couldn’t care less.

“Making money off this presidency is one of the reasons he wants to be President.”

Biden went on to criticise Trump’s defence of his supporters, who infamously stormed the Capitol building in 2021

He declared: "What makes me angry is that Trump wants to give taxpayers' money, your money, to the January 6th insurrectionists."

As reported by the BBC, this remark is thought to be about the Trump administration’s attempt to compensate people who claimed to be unfairly investigated by the government; however, this was dropped and blocked by a judge.

“These people don’t deserve to be compensated - they deserve to be put in jail for a long, long time,” Biden demanded.

Tyla has contacted the White House for comment.
