Trump’s vice president has people seriously concerned after they spot worrying detail in his latest post

JD Vance has taken to social media to make a bombshell statement about his 'political future'

The vice president of the United States, JD Vance, has left people seriously concerned after they spotted a worrying detail in his latest post.

Taking to Bluesky today (16 July), Vance shared a selfie donning a red trucker hat but instead of the original MAGA slogan, the white text read in big capital lettering: "TRUMP 2028."

He captioned the snap: "I've got an exciting announcement about my political future! #Trump2028."

Now, Donald Trump's official website has been selling the 'Trump 2028' hats - just one of his many merch items on sale - for quite some time now.

The headwear piece in question currently retails for $50 on the Trump Store, alongside a 'Trump 2028 Shirt' for $36.

The product description reads: "The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules with the Trump 2028 high crown hat. Fully embroidered with a snap closure in the back, this will become your new go-to hat."

The website adds that the hat is 'Made in America', as well as featuring a snap closure, an embroidered front and flag 'emroidery' (they clearly spelt embroidery wrong on the official website) on the side.

Upon seeing Vance in the official Trump 2028 hats, people rushed online to share their thoughts - namely over the fact it's quite literally unconstitutional for someone to be president more than two times.

One Instagram user penned: "Obama 2028. Because apparently the Constitution doesn’t even matter anymore."

"I guess 'F*ck the Constitution' would come off as crude," quipped a second and a third chimed in: "They really just be saying 'constitution, who??'"

A fourth echoed: "These people have zero respect for the Constitution."

"Are they just trolling at this point?" questioned a fifth.

Another declared: "It’s a distraction. Everything from this administration is a distraction."

And a final Instagram user stated: "This should bring immediate impeachment for all…but you know, the latent stage of American collapse."

Now, for some context, Trump and his allies have time and time again flirted with the prospect of the 79-year-old running for a third term in 2028 - meaning he'd be the grand age of 82 when he hypothetically assumed the role of the 48th president of the United States (after previously being both the 45th and 47th).

However, as we know, the Constitution forbids such a thing from happening.

As per the National Constitution Center, the 22nd Amendment reads: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once."
