Donald Trump's secret note has people questioning one major detail after realising what it said

The contents of a note the Republican leader was handed yesterday has left people seriously confused

A mysterious handwritten note that Donald Trump was handed during a press conference yesterday (October 8) has sparked a major question.

For those who missed the moment, the US President, 79, was stopped in the middle of an unrelated meeting with conservative influencers to be given some urgent news about the ongoing peace talks between Gaza and Hamas.

The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, walked over to the Republican leader to whisper something into his ear and deliver him the handwritten message.

The note has since been revealed by AP to have read: "Very close. We need you to approve a Truth Social post soon so you can announce deal first.”

Just hours later, Trump announced that he was 'very proud' to announce the first phase of a Gaza peace deal between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas.

Both sides have reportedly agreed to the first phase of the American President's plan to pause fighting and release hostages, following a two-year-long conflict that has resulted in thousands of deaths.

The conflict began on October 7th 2023, when Hamas carried out attacks on Israel and its citizens, resulting in 1,200 deaths and around 250 people taken hostage in Gaza.

Launched in retaliation, Israel’s military campaign has led to the deaths of tens of thousands of Palestinians and devastated Gaza.

And as people are reacting to the historic world news, some social media users have picked up on the phrasing in the note, particularly that Trump needs 'to approve a Truth Social post'.

Some users took this as confirmation that he doesn't write his own posts on the platform, writing on Twitter: "Is Autopen writing his Truth Social posts?" and "So if he doesn't even write truth socials? What does he do?"

A third person penned: "So that’s even more concerning to me - OTHER PEOPLE are actually writing the insane nonsense for him on his Truth Social account - not him."

And another questioned: "You’re saying he isn’t even writing these posts? Autopen?!"

While others added "Yes, just as we knew, Trump doesn't write all his truth social posts!!" and: "So there is a Truth Social ghost writer."

"Well Marco Rubio ratted trump out. He does not write the crap that gets posted on truth social or here on X. The message said he had to break the presser so he could approve social posts," claimed another Twitter user.

And someone else asked: "If Trump doesn’t write his own Truth Social posts, who does?"

Trump's posts on the social media platform, which he launched himself in 2022, come thick and fast with sometimes dozens of posts appearing on his profile each day.

However, someone else defended Trump by chiming in with: "Most politicians have people on staff who manage their social media accounts. On all sides, in every party and level of government."

While a second questioned: "You actually think the president writes those tweets? You think he has time to write them?"

Meanwhile, another person pointed out: "There was a documentary that shows Trump with his team where he has a young woman that handles his social media. We’ve known this for a while. He dictates, she types. And no, her name is not autopen."

Tyla has contacted the White House for comment.
