Donald Trump has issued more comments on whether or not he thinks he'll 'get into' heaven - a topic that seems to have been on his mind quite a lot over the past few months.

For those not up to speed, the American president, 79, has bizarrely delved into this particular question multiple times recently.

In August, he talked about what he might need to do and hinted that if he could manage to end the Russia-Ukraine war, it could be his golden ticket to the pearly gates.

The comments came as he hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as other European leaders, at the White House in Washington DC, just days after he sat down with Russian President Vladimir Putin for a 'peace' meeting in Alaska.

During a press conference, he said: "If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed, I think that’s pretty - I want to try to get to heaven if possible, I’m hearing that I’m not doing well."

Trump admitted: "I am really at the bottom of the totem pole. But if I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons."

Then, in September, things got even stranger when the Republican leader reportedly asked his followers for $15 donations so he can 'get to heaven' in an email sent to his supporters.

According to Metro, he referenced his assassination attempt and penned that 'God saved him,' before asking for people to chip in with money.

The alleged email read: "I want to try and get to Heaven. Last year I came millimetres from death when that bullet pierced through my skin. My triumphant return to the White House was never supposed to happen."

And now, he seems to have admitted defeat as he again spoke about his attempts to broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, during a chat with press aboard Air Force One on yesterday (October 12).

As per People Magazine, he reflected on his earlier comments about whether the good deed would secure a spot in heaven and said: "I'm being a little cute. I don't think there's anything going to get me in heaven."

He added: "I really don't. I think I'm not maybe heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One.

"I'm not sure I'm going to be able to make heaven, but I've made life a lot better for a lot of people."

Trump went on to claim that had 'the election of 2020 not been rigged', he could have prevented Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

Referring to Joe Biden, he brutally claimed: "We had an incompetent administration. We had an incompetent president. And because of a crooked election, millions of people are dead."

Following Trump's latest heaven comments, people have taken to social media to react, with some arguing that his recent role in 'ending the Gaza war' should get him a pass to heaven.

One Twitter user penned: "After ending the war in Gaza he’s 100% guaranteed a golden escalator to heaven."

While a second added: "Even after ending that massive war?? What does he have to do?"

However others who think he's right joked: "At least he's self aware" and "That’s the most self-aware thing he’s ever said, and somehow it still sounds like a campaign line."

Meanwhile, someone else chimed in with: "So he knows he fumbled and just double downing to oblivion lmao."

And others savagely penned: "Finally, something we can both agree on" and "First true thing to ever come out of his mouth."
