Donald Trump is asking supporters for donations to ‘get him to heaven’ and people are confused

In the bizarre email, the American president referenced his assassination attempts and his victory over Hillary Clinton

Donald Trump is reportedly asking his followers for $15 donations so he can 'get to heaven' in a bizarre email sent to his supporters.

It comes just days after the American president, 79, had to confirm he was in fact not dead after the internet came up with a wild conspiracy theory that he'd secretly popped his clogs.

After he hadn't made a public appearance since 27 August, social media users became convinced that something had happened, leading internet searches for 'Trump' and 'is Trump dead' to rise to the top of Twitter's search engine.

However, he was speedy to shut down the rumours, writing on Truth Social on Sunday (31 August) that he's 'never felt better,' before later branding it as 'fake news' during his announcement from the Oval Office on Tuesday (2 September).

And now his latest baffling move has left people scratching their heads, as the president has allegedly sent out an email requesting money from his followers.

According to Metro, who have shared a screenshot of the email, he referenced his assassination attempt and penned that 'God saved him'.

The alleged email reads: "I want to try and get to Heaven. Last year I came millimetres from death when that bullet pierced through my skin. My triumphant return to the White House was never supposed to happen.

"But I believe God saved me for one reason. TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

It continues: "I wasn't supposed to beat Crooked Hillary in 2016 - but I did. I wasn't supposed to secure the border and build the greatest economy in history - but I did.

"I certainly wasn't supposed to survive an assassin's bullet, but by the grace of the almighty God, I did.

"So NOW, I have no other choice but to answer to the Call to Duty, but I can't do it alone."

He reportedly added: "‘This is our moment to show the world that we will NEVER back down, NEVER give an inch, and NEVER SURRENDER in our fight to save this country.

"That’s why I’ve launched a 24-HOUR TRUMP FUNDRAISING BLITZ, and I’m asking everyone to chip in $15 to make it one for the record books!"

The publication say the email was sent by ‘Never Surrender, Inc.’, and has been verified by multiple sources.

As the email continues to circulate on Twitter, people have shared their thoughts on the strange matter, with one user writing: "That ain’t gonna work."

A second added: "He knows they’ll pay up," while a third wrote: "Money won’t get him to heaven!"

And it seems that the concept of heaven and religion has been on the world leader's mind a lot lately, as he referenced it just last month in an interview with Fox and Friends.

Trump said: "If I can save 7,000 people a week from being killed, I think that’s pretty good.

"I want to try to get to heaven if possible. I’m hearing I’m not doing well. I’m really at the bottom of the totem pole."

He explained that if he could broker peace between Ukraine and Russia, it might be 'one of the reasons' he gets a ticket to the golden gates.
