This week, footage of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni speaking to Donald Trump at the G7 summit is attracting widespread attention online.
The US President attended the high-profile meeting in Évian-les-Bains, France, where world leaders gathered to discuss major international issues, including the war in Ukraine, Russia, and the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
Trump’s arrival at the summit had already been the subject of discussion, after Meloni was seen commenting on the fact that he was late to one of the meetings.

In one clip, Meloni can be spotted asking officials when Trump will come.
Meloni was spotted standing with other officials before asking: "We are optimistic he will come?"
A French official then replied: "He will come, he said he will come"
Meloni said: "He’s 45... So he’s 45 minutes late."
Trump eventually arrived at the meeting, but it was another moment involving the pair that soon caught people's attention.
Shortly afterwards, footage showed Meloni speaking directly to the US President as the two stood face-to-face. While the clip does not clearly reveal what was being said, the Italian leader appeared animated as she spoke, repeatedly gesturing with her hand.

The exchange quickly became a talking point online, with social media users drawing attention to Meloni's direct and expressive manner during the interaction.
And now another clip from the meeting has gone viral, along with what appears to be Meloni’s reaction to it.
A clip shows Trump apparently struggling to figure out how to raise his chair while sitting at a roundtable with other officials. The US president slams on the table to get the attention as a means for help.
The camera then cuts to Meloni who is sitting a couple of seats away, and she doesn’t look too impressed.
“The smack at the table to get someone's attention is so nasty,” one viewer on X (formerly Twitter) said.
Another social media user wrote: “The eye roll and little smile from Meloni is EPIC!!!”
While someone else wrote: “Could almost hear Melonis eyes roll.”
The man sitting next to Trump is Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI. For some viewers, this made the whole exchange even funnier.
Trump's appearance at the G7 summit was dominated by discussions on Ukraine, Russia, the Middle East and international security.
He held talks with several world leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and took part in meetings focused on the war in Ukraine.
Trump also used the summit to promote his administration's stance on Iran and the wider Middle East, and promoted his newly announced peace deal with Iran.
