King Charles has shared a joke about the royal aide situation during his Caribbean tour when an urgent demand for an umbrella left him waiting in the rain.
The King and his wife Queen Camilla are currently undertaking a major royal tour of the Caribbean, where their latest engagements have attracted considerable attention.
However, it was an unexpected moment involving royal aides that quickly became a talking point among royal watchers.
The interaction, which went viral on social media, prompted questions about what had happened and drew reactions from royal followers. Now, King Charles has addressed the incident and he's able to see the funny said of his viral rain moment.

While speaking to heads of government from around the world at a dinner he hosted on Tuesday (3 November), he said: “It is one of the few organisations able to unite countries famous for snow, countries famous for deserts, and, most of all, countries whose citizens are utterly convinced they enjoy perfect weather all year round."

“Although perhaps part of my role as Head of the Commonwealth is to provide an umbrella for you all,” he said with a smile, PEOPLE reports.
The royal couple were in attendance at Antigua and Barbuda’s 45th anniversary of independence when a torrential rainstorm.
While Camilla was able to get her hands on an umbrella pretty quickly, Charles was left soaking. The Queen soon found shelter off the field.
Social media users were divided in their reactions to the incident, with one person appearing to dismiss the criticism, commenting: “Bit of rain is about all he ever has to worry about. Must be nice.” Others also took the opportunity to make light of the situation, joking that he was concerned about 'melting' in the wet weather.
However, others came to the King's defence, arguing that his age should be taken into consideration. One person wrote: “He’s 77 years old. It’s unacceptable to expect anyone of that age to stand in pouring rain, let alone a visiting head of state.”

Another commenter suggested his health may have been a factor, adding: “Very understandable as he has cancer."
Not everyone was sympathetic, though, with one critic questioning the King's reaction by writing: “Remember when Kings went to WAR???”
Meanwhile, professional lip reader Nicola Hickling offered an insight into the exchange, suggesting that Queen Camilla was the first to recognise the need to escape the downpour.
According to Hickling, the Queen reportedly said: "Come on."
As the rain continued to pour, she then appeared to ask for some protection from the weather, saying: "Can I get an umbrella? I'm getting rather wet."
King Charles seemingly tried to reassure his wife that help was on its way, responding: "Darling, they're coming."
However, the situation appeared to take an awkward turn when an aide eventually arrived carrying an umbrella for Camilla.
Eager to get out of the rain, the Queen reportedly urged the aide to hurry, saying: "Quickly, I'm wet."
Camilla was then seen making her way towards shelter under the umbrella, while King Charles was left standing in the rain without one of his own.
Let this be a reminder: always pack an umbrella!
