Donald and Melania Trump’s only son, Barron, made a rare appearance with his political parents at the UFC Freedom 250 event over the weekend - and fans have been left shocked by his new look.

The 20-year-old sat a few rows behind his mom and dad during the martial arts event, which took place on the White House lawn and coincided with the President's 80th birthday.

You read that right - Donald Trump seriously held an Ultimate Fighting Championship event on the lawn of the presidential building.

As per the BBC, 4,300 people were in attendance for the invite-only event on the South Lawn, while a further 85,000 fans gathered at a nearby fan zone.

However, some onlookers were more interested in Barron’s appearance, who rarely attends public, high-profile events.

Social media users couldn’t get over how much older the son of Trump and Melania looks, as he showed off a new hairstyle.

'He is turning into his father'

Usually opting for a slicked back style, the son of the president has this time worn his hair in a looser, wavy way.

One X user penned: “Barron is looking more presidential by the day,” while a second agreed: “He is turning into his father.”

Other shocked social media users shared side-by-side comparisons of the new pictures of Baron alongside ones of his famous father at the same age - and the resemblance is uncanny.

A third person wrote: “He is his father's son,” while a fourth added: “Ain’t no way that’s Barron Trump.”

Meanwhile, others can’t get over how different the 20-year-old looks since we last saw him, as a fifth mused: “That doesn't look like Barron. He's changing fast if it is.”

Someone else chimed in with: “Looking presidential already! Barron 2044-2052 incoming,” and another social media user penned: “Barron looks like a carbon copy of his father when he was the same age.”

While others wrote: “His face has changed in the last year. He’s STILL growing!! And those eyebrows!!” and “Man, he looks like his dad all of a sudden.”

The plan for the UFC fight had been a long goal of Trump’s before it became a reality as part of America's 250th birthday, also known as the Semiquincentennial.

A number of events and celebrations are taking place ahead of the occasion, which falls on July 4, 2026, and marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

As well as the fight, Trump has a number of other expensive plans up his sleeve, such as building a humongous 250-foot-tall triumphal arch in Washington D.C, renovations across the nation’s capital, and a 16-day state fair.
