Donald Trump has opened up about Elon Musk having a fight outside his office before the pair had a huge argument that took the internet by storm.
It's been an interesting one indeed when it comes to what's gone down between the 78-year-old Republican leader and the 53-year-old Tesla CEO, with the latest updates in the ever-developing 'break up' saga seeing Musk call Trump's 'big, beautiful bill' a 'disgusting abomination', as well as threatening to 'fire all politicians' who sided with it, and also tweeting that Trump was named in the Jeffrey Epstein files.
There has, needless to say, been a whole lot more back on fourth on social media between the two men who seemed only weeks ago to be buddy-buddy at White House events and Oval Office press conferences, with the most recent instalment in the online feud seeing Musk make a major U-turn after admitting he may have taken things a little 'too far'.

Taking to Twitter to go back on comments made during their very public spat, he penned: "I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week.
"They went too far."
Musk did not specify which of the posts he was referring to.

Amid all the drama, Trump has now come out to claim that Musk had a fight with United States Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent.
Speaking on Pod Force One with Miranda Devine, Trump, when asked about what was going on with Musk, explained: "I don't know what his problem is, really, I don't know. I haven't thought too much about it in the last little while.
"But, the bill is so good, when he went after the bill... This bill is going to turn around this country so fast your head will spin.
"And it's good for everyone and it's also a tax cut, it's a massive tax cut, it's an extension of debt which we need, we have to get that, and then we're going to start paying off debt at record levels."

Trump went on to discuss some more 'perks' he has attributed to the bill, adding: "I think the bill is great and I think he [Musk] feels very badly that he said that, actually."
When Devine asked about a reported 'fight' which broke out between Musk and Bessent outside his office, Trump outlined that it was not a 'fist fight' before confirming: "Yes, they had a little bit of a shouting match - but that's typical.
"That's sort of typical [...] that, you know, happens."

Lamenting on the breakdown of their relationship further, Trump revealed: "I was disappointed in him but, you know, it is what it is.
"That happens, things like that happen. I don't blame him for anything. I was a little disappointed."
And, when asked if he could 'reconcile' with Musk, Trump replied: "I guess I could but, you know, we have to straighten out the country and my sole function now is getting this country back to a level higher than it's ever been."
